To preset the same setting for all preset stations

Select an FM band.

Press (AF/TA) repeatedly until "AF ON," "TA
ON" or "AF, TA•ON" appears.
Selecting "AF, TA•OFF" applies to non-RDS
stations as well as RDS stations.

Press (BTM SENS) until "BTM" flashes.
To preset different settings for each preset
station

Select an FM band, and tune in to the
desired station.

Press (AF/TA) repeatedly until "AF ON," "TA
ON" or "AF, TA•ON" appears.

Press the desired number button ((1) to (6))
until "MEM" appears.
Repeat from step 1 to preset other stations.
Tuning in to stations by
programme type
– PTY (Programme types)
You can tune in to a station by selecting the type of
programme you would like to listen to.
There are following programme types:
NEWS (news), AFFAIRS (current affairs),
INFO (information), SPORT (sports),
EDUCATE (education), DRAMA (drama),
CULTURE (culture), SCIENCE (science),
VARIED (varied), POP M (popular music),
ROCK M (rock music), EASY M (easy
listening), LIGHT M (light classical),
CLASSICS (classical), OTHER M (other music
type), WEATHER (weather), FINANCE
(finance), CHILDREN (children's
programmes), SOCIAL A (social affairs),
RELIGION (religion), PHONE IN (phone in),
TRAVEL (travel), LEISURE (leisure), JAZZ
(jazz music), COUNTRY (country music),
NATION M (national music), OLDIES (oldies
music), FOLK M (folk music), DOCUMENT
(documentary)
Note
You cannot use this function in some countries/
regions where no PTY (Programme Type selection)
data is available.

Press (PTY) during FM reception.
The current programme type name appears if
the station is transmitting the PTY data.
"- - - - - - - -" appears if the received station is
not an RDS station, or if the RDS data is not
received.

Turn (PUSH-MENU) to select the desired
programme type.
"NONE" appears if the programme type is not
specified in the RDS data.

Press (SEEK) (+) or (SEEK) (–).
The unit starts searching for a station
broadcasting the selected programme type.

Setting the clock automatically

– CT (Clock Time)
The CT data from the RDS transmission sets the
clock automatically.

Press and hold (PUSH-MENU) until "SET"
appears on the display.

Press (SEEK) (+) or (SEEK) (–) to select "CT."
3
Turn (PUSH-MENU) to select "CT ON."
The clock is set.
To cancel "CT ON," repeat the above and select
"CT OFF" at step 3.
Notes
• The CT function may not work even though an
RDS station is being received.
• There might be a difference between the time set
by the CT function and the actual time.
