4. Safety and maintenance

4.1. Operating safety

• This device may be used by children over the age of 8 and by per-
sons with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or by those
without experience and/or knowledge, if they are supervised or
have been instructed in the safe use of the device and have under-
stood the dangers that result from it. Children must not play with
the device. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried
out by children, unless they are aged 8 or over and are supervised;
• Children younger than 8 should be kept away from the device and
the mains cable.
• Batteries can be fatal if swallowed. Therefore keep the product, the
remote control and the batteries out of reach of babies and small
children. If a battery is swallowed, please seek medical assistance
immediately.
• DANGER! Keep plastic packaging out of reach of children. There is a
risk of suffocation.
• WARNING! In the interests of safety, never open the housing of
the loudspeaker panel, the subwoofer or the mains adapter/mains
plug! There is a risk of electric shock if the mains adapter housing is
open. There are no parts requiring maintenance.

4.2. General notes

• Make sure that the mains cable does not present a trip hazard. The
connecting cable must not be trapped or squashed.
• Do not use the device if the mains adapter, cable or device itself is
visibly damaged or the device has been dropped.
• There are dangerous voltages inside the mains adapter. Never
open the casing. There is a risk of electric shock!
• To prevent possible hazards, the mains adapter must be scrapped
and replaced with a mains adapter of the same type if its casing or
the cable is damaged.
• To disconnect the device completely from the power supply, pull
the mains adapter from the socket. Always pull the plug, never the
cable.
