TAPE MECHANISM SECTION
Perform steps 1, 2, 3 and 4 the disassembly method to remove
the tape mechanism.

How to remove the main belt
(See Fig. 8-1.)
1. Remove the main belt (A1) from the motor pulley.
How to remove the sub belt
(See Fig. 8-1.)

1. Remove the five screws (B1), raise the reel base ass'y, and
remove the sub belt (B2) from the motor pulley.
How to remove the motor
(See Fig. 8-2.)
1. Remove the two screws (C1) to remove the motor.
Note:
When mounting the motor, pay attention to the motor mounting
angle.
How taremove the playback head
(See Fig. 8-3.)
1. Remove the screw (D1) to remove the head switch PWB.
Remove the two screws (D2) to remove the FF/REW lever
ass'y.

Remove the screw (D3) to remove the playback head.
Remove the washer (D4) to remove the playback head.

Note:
When removing the playback head arm spring plate. be careful
not to lose the springs, etc.
How to remove the flywheel
(See Fig. 8-4.)
1. Remove the "E" ring (E1) to remove the flywheel.
Note:
When removing the "E" ring, be careful not to lose the washer.
