This instruction manual explains how to operate the
BKM-101C and an optional Sony component SDI kit
<AUDIO> BKM-102.
For installation, consult your nearest Sony dealer. |
e By connecting a digital VTR (Sony digital Batacam, etc.) to
the monitor installed with the BKM-101C, you can monitor
the picture from SMPTE 259M/CCIR 656-III 4:2:2 serial
digital input signals.
e When you install the BKM-101C together with an optional
Sony component SDI kit <Audio> BKM-102, you can
monitor the sound from SMPTE 259M/CCIR 656-III 4:2:2
seria] digital input signals with the picture.

Operation
Connect the monitor to the digital VTR as shown in
"Connection."
1 Depress POWER on the monitor to turn
it on.

2 Press the LINE/RGB input selector (light
on) on the front panel of the monitor.

3 Press the C/SDI selector (light on) on
the front panel of the monitor.
You can monitor the picture of SMPTE 259M/CCIR 656-
II 4:2:2 serial digital input signals.

4 select SDI AUDIO using the screen
menu of the monitor, and set the
sound.
About the sound input
¢ When you install only the BKM-101C, you can not monitor
digital sound signals. If you input analog sound signals
from a digital VTR etc. to the AUDIO IN jack in theanalog
RGB connectors, you can monitor analog sound signals
with digital picture signals. See the "About the SDI
AUDIO menu" on next page.
¢ To input digital sound signals, you also need to insalI the
BKM-102 kit (consult your nearest Sony dealer).
