DIGITAL RANDOM PROGRAM SELECTOR (D.R.P.S.)
D.R.P.S. locates the beginning of tunes by detecting the gaps between
tunes while fast-forwarding or rewinding during the playback of music
tapes.
Note:
1. Set the recorder in the playback mode.
2. D.R:P.S. works only when the Function selector (@) is set to ''TAPE".
3. Do not have the Program indicator @2 lit, except during tune selection,
to prevent the batteries from being discharged.
To hear the next tune (Fast-forward D.R.P.S.): Press the Program
switch @3) once; and program indicator @2 indicates '1'. Push in the
Fast-forward button until it locks. The recorder enters the fast-
forward mode and returns to the playback mode at the start of the next
tune.
To hear the present tune again (Rewind D.R.P.S.): Press the Program
switch @3) once; the Program indicator @2 indicates '1''. Push in the Re-
wind button @ until it locks.
The recorder enters the rewind mode and returns to the playback mode at
the start of the present tune.
To hear the 8th tune after the tune being played (Fast-forward
D.R.P.S.): Press the Program switch @3) so that ''8" is displayed on the
Program indicator @2.
When the required number is displayed, push in the Fast-forward button
The recorder enters the fast-forward mode and every:time an interval. be-
tween tunes is detected, the count of the Program indicator @2 decreases
by 1.
When the display disappears, playback begins automatically from the start
of the required tune.

Note: Every time Program switch @3) is pressed once in the playback or pro-
gram selection mode, the Program indicator @2) advances by 1.
After '9' the display disappears.
To hear the 8th tune before the tune being listened to at present (Re-
wind D.R.P.S.): To select previous tunes, the gap before the present tune
is the 1st gap detected. When the required number is displayed, push in
the Rewind button @?) until it locks.
