12) Pour any remaining water out of the appliance via the tank holder 3. To do this,
tilt the appliance so that the water flows out on the side of the tank holder 3
where the mains cable 4 is not located. Then dry the appliance with a dry
cloth.
Cleaning and care
DANGER! Before cleaning the appliance, disconnect the power plug from the
mains socket! Never immerse the appliance, the mains cable or the plug in water
or any other liquids!
ATTENTION! Ensure that no moisture can penetrate the appliance during clean-
ing in order to avoid irreparable damage to the appliance.
Do not use abrasive or caustic cleaning agents. They can corrode the surface and
damage the appliance beyond repair.
After use, remove all residual water from the appliance and the tank 1 to prevent
bacteria and odours from forming.
Note: The cap 2 needs to be cleaned at regular intervals, at the latest when
impurities are visible. To do this, dismantle the cap 2 (Fig. 5). Pull the cylindrical
end of the pin and put the rubber washer over the other, arrow-shaped end. Pull
the pin out carefully since the inserted spring may pop out in the process. A seal-
ing ring is located in the rim. If necessary, use a long, thin object, e.g. a wooden
stick, to pull out the sealing ring. Clean all parts in rinsing water and let them dry
well before reassembling the cap 2 again. When assembling, note that there is
a groove on the centre piece of the pin. When you push the pin with the spring in
place through the opening in the cap, this indentation (groove) must enclose the
matching counterpart exactly. Otherwise the spring will not fit through the open-
ing in the cap. Then push the rubber washer all the way behind the arrow-shaped
end so that all parts are fixed.

Remove the attachment 8 and clean it in rinsing water. If there is oil residue on
the holder 7, use a cotton swab to remove it.
Clean the appliance with a damp cloth. If necessary, use a mild detergent on the
front of the appliance, around the nozzle 6.
After cleaning, dry the appliance and all parts well.
