VL1000T – FAST CHARGER FOR 7.2 / 8.4V BATTERY PACKS
1. Introduction
Thank you for buying the VL1000T! Please read the manual thoroughly before bringing this device into service.
If the device was damaged in transit, don't install or use it and contact your dealer.
Your VL1000T can charge 7.2 and 8.4V battery packs from a 12-15V power source.
2. Safety Warnings
• Always respect the polarity when connecting the alligator clamps (red = + ; black = - ).
• When charging from a car battery, use only a fully charged battery.
• Do not connect a battery pack that is already charged or that is still hot from being used or being discharged.
• Do not try to open or repair the charger when it is damaged. Return the charger to your supplier for repair.
• Do not expose this device to rain or moisture and only use it indoors.
• Keep the device away from children and unauthorised users.
3. Operating Instructions
1. Connect the battery pack to the connector (#5).
2. Attach the alligator clips (#6) to the 12-15V power source.
3. Select the correct charging capacity for your battery pack
(#3). Overcharging could make the battery pack explode.
4. Push the 'START' button (#2). The 'CHARGE' lamp (#1) lights
up and the charging begins. It may happen that the 'CHARGE'
lamp does not light or extinguishes immediately. In that case, press the 'START' button repeatedly until the
'CHARGE' lamp stays on.
5. When the battery pack is charged, the 'CHARGE' lamp will begin flashing to indicate the Delta Peak detector
circuit is operational: the charger automatically switches to trickle (slow) charging to fully charge the battery pack.
6. When charging is completed, carefully detach the alligator clips from the power source and unplug the battery
pack from the connector. Do not short the alligator clips while the battery pack is connected: this will cause the
7.5A fuse (#4) to blow (fuse order code is AFU7.5).

2. Veiligheidsvoorschriften
• Respecteer de polariteit wanneer u de krokodillenklemmen aansluit (rood = + ; zwart = - ).
• Wanneer u een autobatterij als voeding gebruikt, zorg er dan voor dat deze volledig opgeladen is.
• Sluit geen batterijpack aan dat al opgeladen is of dat nog warm is na gebruik of ontlading
