- Position the heat guard.
- Mount original screws and tighten to 8 Nm (Loctite 243).
- Position the rear right side cover and engage in holder .
- Engage catch .
- Position the rear left side cover and engage in holder .
- Mount screw and tighten to 3.5 Nm.
- Mount screws and tighten to 5 Nm.
Final steps
- Mount front side covers (see Owner's Manual).
- Mount the seat (see the Owner's Manual).
- Remove the rear of the motorcycle from the work stand (see the
Owner's Manual).
When you fi rst use the main silencer, keep the engine speed
low for about 5 minutes to warm the main silencer evenly. This
is the only way to ensure that the mineral wool will reach its full
effectiveness and keep noise down to the required level!
