1 Einsatzmöglichkeiten
Mit diesem Gleichspannungswandler wird aus einer nicht
sehr stabilen, höheren Eingangsspannung (ca. 24 V) eine
kleinere, stabilisierte Ausgangsspannung (ca. 12 V) erzeugt.
Damit lassen sich Geräte für 12-V-Gleichspannung (z. B. Au-
toradios) an einer 24-V-Autobatterie betreiben. Der Span-
nungswandler ist für folgende Stromentnahme ausgelegt:

2 Hinweise für den sicheren Gebrauch
Das Gerät entspricht der EU-Richtlinie für elektromagneti-
sche Verträglichkeit 89/336/EWG.
Das Gerät ist nur zur Verwendung im Innenbereich ge-
eignet. Schützen Sie es vor Feuchtigkeit und Hitze (zu-
lässiger Einsatztemperaturbereich 0 – 40 °C).
Während des Betriebs kann das Gerät sehr heiß wer-
den. Darum keine hitzeempfindlichen Gegenstände in
der Nähe plazieren, und während des Betriebs das
Gerät nicht berühren.

1 Applications
With this DC converter a not very stable higher input voltage
(approx. 24 V) is converted to a lower stable output voltage
(approx. 12 V). By that units for 12 V DC operating voltage
(e. g. car radios) can be operated at 24 V car batteries. The

2 Safety Notes
The unit corresponds to the EU directive for electroma-
gnetic compatibility 89/336/EEC.
The unit is designed for indoor use only. Protect it
against humidity and heat (admissible ambient tempe-
rature range 0 – 40 °C).
During operation the unit may become very hot. There-
fore, do not place any objects which are sensitive to
heat near it, and do not touch the unit during operation.
Only use a dry, soft cloth for cleaning, by no means chem-
icals or water.

1 Possibilités d'utilisation
Cet convertisseur permit d'obtenir à partir d'une tensione
d'entrée DC élevée et peu stable (env. 24 V), une tension
de sortie faible constante (env. 12 V). Vous pouvez ainsi
alimenter des appareils 12 V DC (par ex. auto-radios)
avec des batteries auto 24 V. Le convertisseur est conçu

2 Conseils d'utilisation
L'appareil répond à la norme 89/336/CEE relative à la
compatibilité électromagnétique.
Cet appareil n'est conçu que pour une utilisation en in-
térieur. Protégez-le de l'humidité et de la chaleur (tem-
pérature d'utilisation autorisée 0 – 40 °C).
Pendant son fonctionnement, il peut devenir très chaud;
il est recommandé de ne pas placer à proximité d'objets
sensibles à la chaleur et de ne pas le toucher pendant
son fonctionnement.

Verwenden Sie für die Reinigung nur ein trockenes, wei-
ches Tuch, auf keinen Fall Chemikalien oder Wasser.
Wird das Gerät zweckentfremdet, falsch angeschlossen,
überlastet oder nicht fachgerecht repariert, kann für
eventuelle Schäden keine Haftung übernommen wer-
den.
Soll das Gerät endgültig aus dem Betrieb genommen
werden, übergeben Sie es zur Entsorgung einem örtli-
chen Recyclingbetrieb.
3 Montage
Bei der Auswahl des Montageplatzes sind die folgenden
kurzzeitiger Strom
Punkte zu beachten:

können, muß eine ausreichende Belüftung gewährlei-

stet sein. Der Kühlkörper darf nicht abdeckt werden.
Das Gerät muß fest und fachgerecht an einer mecha-
nisch stabilen Stelle im Auto montiert werden, damit es
sich nicht löst und zu einem gefährlichen Geschoß wird.
Zur Montage das Gerät an geeigneter Stelle mit zwei bzw.
vier Schrauben befestigen.
4 Anschluß
Beim Anschluß des Gerätes an die Autobatterie ist be-
sondere Sorgfalt geboten. Bei Kurzschlüssen können
gefährlich hohe Ströme fließen. Deshalb vor dem An-
schluß die Minusklemme der Autobatterie abschrauben.
If the unit is used for other purposes than originally in-
tended, if it is connected in the wrong way, overloaded
or not repaired by authorized personnel, no liability can
be taken over for possible damage.
If the unit is to be put out of operation definitively, it has
to be disposed of in a local recycling plant.
3 Mounting
When choosing the mounting place, observe the following
items:

To be able to carry off the heat being generated in the
unit, a sufficient ventilation must be guaranteed. The

heat sink must not be covered.

The unit must be mounted in a firm and competent way
at a mechanically stable place in the car, so that it does
not become loose and turn into a dangerous projectile.
Mount the unit at a suitable place with two resp. four
screws.
4 Connection
Be especially careful when connecting the DC convert-
er to the car battery. In case of short-circuits there may
be dangerously high currents. Therefore, prior to con-
nection screw off the negative terminal of the car battery.
1) Connect the OUTPUT cable with the consuming de-
vice. Observe in any case the polarity:
red cable = positive pole, black cable = negative pole
Pour nettoyer l'appareil, utilisez un chiffon sec et sou-
ple, en aucun cas de produits chimiques ou d'eau.
Nous déclinons toute responsabilité en cas de domma-
ge si l'appareil est utilisé dans un but autre que celui
pour lequel il a été conçu, s'il n'est pas correctement
branché, réparé ou en cas de surcharge.
Lorsque l'appareil est définitivement retirée du circuit de
distribution, vous devez le déposer dans une usine de
recyclage adaptée.
3 Montage
Lorsque vous choisissez le lieu d'installation de l'appareil,
respectez les points suivants:

dégagée par l'appareil, veillez à assurer une ventilation

suffisante; en aucun cas, le radiateur ne doive être ob-
turées.
L'appareil doit être solidement fixé dans un endroit sta-
ble pour éviter qu'il ne se dévisse et ne se transforme
en projectile dangereux.
Montez-le à l'endroit propre en fixant les 2 resp. 4 vis.
4 Branchement
Lorsque vous reliez le convertisseur à la batterie de la
voiture, soyez très prudent; en cas de court-circuit, des
courants très élevés et donc dangereux circulent. C'est
pourquoi avant tout branchement, n'oubliez pas de des-
serrer la borne moins de la batterie.

3) Ist die interne Sicherung durchgebrannt (z. B. beim
Verpolen der Eingangsspannung), den oberen Deckel
abschrauben. Die Sicherung ersetzen:

to the higher input voltage. Observe in any case the
correct polarity as well:

ity of the input voltage), screw off the upper cover. Re-
place the fuse:

1) Reliez le câble sortie (OUTPUT) avec le consomma-
teur. Prespectez scrupueusement la polarité:
câble rouge = pôle plus, câble noir = pôle moins
2) Reliez le câble d'entrée (INPUT) à la tension d'entrée
la plus élevée soit directement soit en utilisant un inter-
rupteur. Attention à la polarité:
câble rouge = pôle plus, câble noir = pôle moins
3) Si le fusible interne est fondu (p. ex. si la tension d'én-
trée est connectée avec la fausse polarité), dévissez le
couvercle supérieur. Remplacez le fusible:
