GENERAL DESCRIPTION
BUS ADAPTER 130-150-350 is an interface
module that connects the TTL communica-
tion line and the RS-485 serial line.
USER INTERFACE
•The red LED (POWER) indicates when the
device is powered (permanently on).
•The green LED (RX-TX) indicates when the
device is communicating in RS 485 (flashes
on and off).

Three models of the BUS ADAPTER are
available:

TTL-RS 485 Serial interface on DIN-rail
All models are opto-isolated. This is so that

instruments that are not opto-isolated
(instruments with dangerous voltages in the
circuits including the TTL serial) can be
inserted in the network.
All models also have a 485 serial output
(double port) and TTL serial.
MECHANICAL ASSEMBLY
The instruments are designed to be mount-
ed on DIN rails. Do not assemble the key-
board in excessively humid and/or dirty
locations since it is designed to be used in
locations with normal pollution levels.
ELECTRICAL WIRING
Warning! Always switch device off before
working on electrical connections.
The instrument has screw terminal blocks
for connecting cables with a maximum
diameter of 2.5 mm 2 (only one conductor
per terminal block for power connections).
Do not exceed the maximum current
allowed. For higher loads, use a suitable
contactor.
Make sure that the power voltage complies
with the device voltage.
The 130 models have a 12V (5 VA) auxiliary output to power the instrument.
The 150 models have reinforced electrical insulation
The 350 models have reinforced electrical insulation and are used with
devices:
•FCBASICOM
•EM300(LX) - VI with voltage or current input

The very low safety voltage (SELV) RS-485
serial and TTL cables must be kept separate
from the power cables.
NOTE: Instruments are supplied with a spe-
cial cable for the TTL serial connection.
AUXILIARY OUTPUT
The 130 models have a 12V (5 VA) auxiliary
output to power the instrument.
NOTE: maximum power for the 12V power
supply is 5 VA
CONDITIONS OF USE
Allowed Use
For your safety, the instrument must be
installed and used according to the given
instructions and, especially, no components
subject to dangerous voltage must be
accessible under normal conditions.
This device must be adequately protected
from water and dust, depending on its
application, and it must only be accessible
by using a tool.
Forbidden Use
Any use different from the allowed one is,
as a matter of fact, forbidden.

DESCRIZIONE GENERALE
BUS ADAPTER 130-150-350 è un modulo di
interfaccia che permette il collegamento
tra la linea di comunicazione TTL e la linea
seriale RS-485.
INTERFACCIA UTENTE
•Il led rosso (POWER) segnala quando lo
strumento è alimentato (accensione fissa).
•Il led verde (RX-TX) segnala quando lo
strumento comunica in RS 485 (accensione
lampeggiante).
