The electronic speed-controllers of the STL series control
the speed of single phase voltage controllable motors (230
Vac/50-60 Hz) by varying the supplied voltage.
There is a potentiometer and a separate ON/OFF switch with
built in telltale, the minimum speed allowed can be adjusted
internally with a little trimmer. The terminal board has a supple-
mentary connection to bypass the ON/OFF switch (automatic
start) or to branch off 230 V not controlled.
There are 2 versions : The „O" and „D". These are user selectable
by placing/removing the jumper (see illustration). The O-ver-
sion: The motor starts according to the position of the poten-
tiometer. The D-version: The motor will always start (or restart)
at the highest speed for about 6-7 seconds, after this delay, the
motorspeed descends to the desired speed cq. The position of
the potentiometer.
The IP 54 case allows the use in most demanding environ-
ments.
1. Be sure that the controller is in OFF position.
2. Take of the box cover by loosening the 4 screws. Note that
the potentiometer is connected to the PCB with 2 wires.
3. Connect mains, motor(s) and earth cables of the proper
diameter to the terminals according to the scheme below.
4. Start the controller and adjust the minimum speed : with
the potentiometer at minimum, adjust the little trimmer so
that the motor continues turning or restarts smoothly in case
of power faults. The minimum speed is factory preset at 100 V.
(We recommend a minimum voltage of 70 V)
5. Close the box and verify that the installation works fine.
6. The operating position must be as shown below.

Maintenance
In normal conditions the controllers are maintenance-free. If
soiled clean with dry or dampish cloth. In case of heavy pol-
lution clean with a non-aggressive product. In these circum-
stances the controller should be disconnected from the mains.
Pay attention that no fluids enter the controller. Only reconnect
the controller to the mains when it is completely dry.
Motor protection
It is always recommended to install a proper motor protection
device.
All works may only be carried out by skilled
personnel following the local regulations and
AFTER the controller is completely separated
from the mains.
Replace fuse only with same type and rating.

De elektronische toerenregelaars van de STL-serie regelen de
snelheid van monofasige (230 Vac/50-60 Hz) spanningsregel-
bare motoren door middel van variatie van de toegevoerde
spanning.
Zij worden bediend door een potentiometer en een aparte aan/
uit-schakelaar met een ingebouwd signaallampje, de minimaal
toegelaten snelheid kan intern met een trimmertje ingesteld
worden. Er is op de klemmenstrook een extra-aansluiting voor-
zien waarmee enerzijds de aan/uit-schakelaar kan overbrugd
(automatisch opstarten) worden of anderzijds een niet-geregel-
de spanning van 230 V kan afgetakt worden.
Er zijn twee versies: O en D, selecteerbaar bij de installatie door
het plaatsen/verwijderen van de jumper (zie tekening). De O-
versie: de motor start op volgens de positie van de potentio-
meter. De D-versie: de motor zal altijd gedurende ongeveer
6 à 7 seconden op zijn hoogste snelheid opstarten. Na deze
periode daalt de motorsnelheid volgens de positie van de po-
tentiometer.
Door de IP 54-behuizing, kunnen ze in de meest veeleisende
omgevingen gebruikt worden.
1. Verzeker er u van dat de regelaar UIT staat.
2. Neem voorzichtig het deksel af door de 4 schroeven los
te draaien. Noteer dat de potentiometer met 2 draden met
stekker verbonden is met de PCB.
3. Sluit de netvoeding, motor(en) en aarding aan met kabels
van de gepaste diameter op de aansluitklemmen volgens
onderstaand schema.
4. Zet de regelaar aan en stel de minimum snelheid in : dit
gebeurt door met de potentiometer op minimum, het kleine
trimmertje zo in te stellen dat de motoren blijven draaien of
terug starten bij stroomonderbreking. De minimum snelheid
werd bij de productie ingesteld op 100 V.

5. Sluit de doos en kontroleer de goede werking.
6. Neem de werkingspositie in acht zoals onderaan wordt
getoond.

Garantie
Twee jaar na leveringsdatum. Het aanbrengen van wijzigingen
aan het product ontslaat de fabrikant van elke verantwoorde-
lijkheid.
Transport en opslag
Pas op voor schokken. Stockeer in originele verpakking. Vermijd
extreme omstandigheden.
