Music stand LED light

Intended use
The LEDs in the music stand light emit a white light. The stand can be bent to adjust the height and the
direction of the light. The music stand LED light can be easily secured to a flat surface using two clamps.
Power is supplied via a built-in rechargeable battery.
It is intended for indoor use only. Do not use it outdoors. Contact with moisture, e.g. in bathrooms, must be
avoided under all circumstances.
For safety and approval purposes (CE), you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. If you use the
product for purposes other than those described above, the product may be damaged. In addition, improper
use can cause hazards such as short circuiting, fire, electric shock etc. Read the instructions carefully and
keep them. Make this product available to third parties only together with its operating instructions.

Safety instructions
Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety information.
If you do not follow the safety instructions and information on proper handling in this
manual, we assume no liability for any resulting personal injury or damage to property.
Such cases will invalidate the warranty/guarantee.
a) Persons / Product
• The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. This may become dangerous playing
material for children.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high humidity,
moisture, flammable gases, vapours and solvents.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and protect it from
any accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
• Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height can damage
the product.
• Also observe the safety and operating instructions of any other devices which are connected
to the product.
• Attention, LED light:
- Do not look directly into the LED light!
- Do not look into the beam directly or with optical instruments!
b) Rechargeable battery
• The rechargeable battery is permanently built into the product and cannot be replaced.
• Never damage the rechargeable battery. Damaging the casing of the rechargeable battery
might cause an explosion or a fire!
• Never short-circuit the contacts of the rechargeable battery. Do not throw the battery or the
product into fire. There is a danger of fire and explosion!
• Charge the rechargeable battery regularly, even if you do are not using the product. Due to the
rechargeable battery technology being used, you do not need to discharge the rechargeable
battery first.
• Never charge the rechargeable battery of the product unattended.
• When charging, place the product on a surface that is not heat-sensitive. It is normal that a
certain amount of heat is generated during charging.
c) Power adapter
• The mains socket that the power adapter is plugged into must be easily accessible.
• As power supply, only use the supplied mains adapter.
• Only connect the power adapter to a normal mains socket connected to the public supply.
Before plugging in the power adapter, check whether the voltage stated on the power adapter
complies with the voltage of your electricity supplier.
• Never connect or disconnect power adapters if your hands are wet.
• Never unplug the power adapter from the mains socket by pulling on the cable; always use
the grips on the plug.
• When setting up the product, make sure that the cable is not pinched, kinked or damaged by
sharp edges.
• Always lay the cables so that nobody can trip over or become entangled in them. This poses
a risk of injury.
• For safety reasons, disconnect the power adapter from the mains socket during storms.
d) Miscellaneous
• Consult an expert when in doubt about operation, safety or connection of the device.
• Maintenance, modifications and repairs are to be performed exclusively by an expert or at a
qualified shop.

Operation
a) Charging the battery
Charge the battery before using the product for the first time.
1. Connect the round plug on the power adapter to the 5V/DC socket on the light and then connect the
power adapter to a suitable power source.
Alternatively, you can connect a USB cable with a USB-mini plug to the USB connection socket and
charge the light via a USB power adapter or a USB port (min. 500 mA).
2. The indicator light between the 5V/DC and USB sockets turns red when the battery is charging. The
indicator light turns green when the battery is fully charged.
3. Disconnect the power supply from the light.
• Pay attention to the charging time and battery life in the technical data. The battery life may decrease
depending on how the light is used and as the light gets older.
• The indicator light will turn blue when the battery level is low. If so, charge the battery.
b) Securing the light
1. Pull the light head with the LEDs upwards slightly to expose the clamp surfaces.
2. Clamp the light to a flat surface using the two clamps (e.g. a music stand or a desk with a max. thickness
of approx. 15 mm). Ensure that the light is secured properly.
c) Operation
• The light can also be used when the external power supply is plugged in.
• Do not turn the light on when the light is closed.

Maintenance and cleaning
Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, as these could
damage the casing or even impair the functioning of the product.
• The product does not require maintenance except for occasional cleaning. The LED light bulbs are firmly
embedded and cannot be replaced.
• Turn off the product and disconnect it from the power supply before cleaning. Then leave the product to
cool down completely.
• Use a clean, soft and dry cloth to clean the product. Do not press too hard on the casing as this can lead
to scratch marks.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the household waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory regulations.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
