Before using for the first time
Before using the coffee/tea maker for the
first time, wash, rinse and dry carefully.
How to use the coffee/tea maker
1 Hold the coffee/tea maker firmly and pull
the plunger (a) straight up and out of
the pot (b). Preferably, preheat the pot
by rinsing it with hot water.
2 Add tea or coarsely-ground coffee into
the pot. Use amount of tea or coffee
according to taste. Recommendation:
Calculate 1 tablespoon of coffee per
decilitre of water (NA: 1 tablespoon/
cup).
3 Fill up with hot water. Always leave a
minimum of 5 cm/2 in. of space at the
top of the pot (ca. 2.5 cm/1 in. below
the spout). See fig. 1.
4 Stir.
5 Place the plunger on top of the pot so
that the lid fits tight (the arrow on the
lid should not point to the spout). Do
not press the plunger down into the pot!

6 Let the coffee/tea draw for about 4
minutes.
7 Hold the coffee/tea maker firmly with
the spout turned away from you. Lower
the plunger slowly and carefully into the
pot. For best result, apply slight pres-
sure. If the filter clogs or it becomes

difficult to push down the plunger: Re-
move the plunger from the pot, stir the
brew and then slowly press the plunger
down again.
8 Turn the lid to open the pour spout and
then pour coffee/tea from the pot and
serve. See fig. 3.
Cleaning
The coffee/tea maker is dishwasher-safe.
Important!
Do not place the coffee/tea maker directly
on a source of heat.
