Turning ON/OFF and Operation

The ON/OFF/ZERO button (1) is under the type label on the
display side of the drill depth gauge. Press the button to turn on
the drill depth gauge.
Place the tip of the drill bit on the wall and press the button briefly
to set the display to zero (0). While you drill into the wall the
drilling depth is continuously displayed. The drill depth gauge is
intended for perpendicular holes.
Press and hold the button to turn off the drill depth gauge.
Please note that the drill depth gauge is not equipped with
an automatic turn-off function. Turn it off manually after use.
When working overhead it is advisable to clean out the Ultra-
sound emitters (3) by shaking out and gently blowing out.

Maintenance and Cleaning

 If you do not plan to use the depth gauge for some time,
remove the batteries.
 Use only a moist cloth to clean the unit. Do not use aggressive
chemicals which may dissolve plastic parts, or abrasives.
Always keep the ultrasound emitters clean and free from
obstructions.
