Before first Use

Remove the pole saw and all accessories out of the packing and
check all parts for damage in transit. Keep packaging materials
out of reach of children. There is risk of suffocation!

Assembling the Guide Bar and the Saw Chain

Always wear gloves when handling the saw chain.
1. Place the pole saw on a level surface.
2. First remove the sprocket cover (5) by screwing the inner ring
of the chain tensioner (4) counter clockwise.
3. Slide the saw chain (1) around the chain wheel and into the
slot of the guide bar (see below picture).
Observe the right chain running direction; note the chain icon
(12) on the housing. Make sure to correctly position the chain
links, so the links match the chain icon.
4. Re-attach the sprocket cover (5) on the motor housing and
turn the inner ring of the chain tensioner clockwise to slightly
tension the guide bar.
5. Now turn the outer ring, black ring of the chain tensioner in
order to tighten the saw chain.
The saw chain should be tensioned that way, so the chain is
not too loose and it should be possible to lift it off the guide
bar a few millimetres.
