STORAGE

1. Once the device has completely cooled down and the water reservoir (7) is empty
(see the „Use" chapter, „After Use" section), wind up the mains cable.
2. Store the device in a dry, clean, frost-free location which is out of the reach of chil-
dren and animals. When you do this, place the device upright on its base (2) on a
flat, stable surface.

SELF-CLEANING FUNCTION

CAUTION! Danger of scalding! Hot water and steam will emerge from the
bottom (6) of the iron during the self-cleaning process. Keep the bottom (6) of
the iron away from all body parts and delicate materials when you press the
button for self-cleaning (8)! Only ever press the button (8) to perform
self-cleaning and not during ironing!
The device has a self-cleaning function allowing limescale residues to be removed from
the device. Additional descaling of the device is not necessary. Perform the working
steps which are described below regularly (at least every 10 operating hours):
1. Fill the water reservoir (7) with water (see the „Use" chapter, „Filling the Water Res-
ervoir" section). Ideally you should use distilled water for self-cleaning.
2. Insert the mains plug into a properly installed mains socket that is easily accessible.
3. Heat the device up to the highest temperature setting.
4. Remove the mains plug from the mains socket.
5. Hold the device horizontally over a sink or similar outlet.
6. Press the button for self-cleaning (8).
7.
Allow the water reservoir (7) to run completely empty. Tilt the device back and forth
slightly to allow the water to run out of all nozzles.
8. Repeat the cleaning process several times until no more limescale residues emerge
from the nozzles.
9. If you need to, operate the device again for a short time in order to allow any
remaining amounts of water to evaporate.
