Indications for Use / Intended
Use
The Sony Network System Manager
(NSM) is an optional software accessory
used with the IP Converter (IPC).
The NSM is used to switch visual content
and audio visual signals easily amongst
devices connected to IPCs in the Operating
Room or throughout a healthcare campus.
The IPC with NSM achieves distribution of
patient surgical images, vital signs or other
biologic data acquired from modalities
within a hospital or clinical environment in
almost real-time.
The IPC with NSM can send audio visual
signals and medical images to various
commercially available products such as
displays or recording devices commonly
used in a medical procedure room or
operating room.
WARNING
The NSM, NU-NM11B is only indicated
for use with general controller/PC based
ORC.
The NSM is not indicated for use with
specific controller based ORC as the NSM
does not have the application program
interface (API) for these products and thus
the real-time performance may be adversely
impacted.
In a multipoint-to-multipoint (up to 4
Transmitters and 16 Receivers; or more in a
customization use scenario) network, the
use of NSM is mandatory.
