Engine control settings (SETTING function)
Ignition timing MAP display
Displays the adjustment value for each
area.
[SLCT All] tab
Selects the adjustment values in all of
the areas to be increased or decreased
together.
[CLR All] tab
Selects the adjustment values in all of
the areas to be reset to 0.
[BACK] tab
Switches to the EDIT screen.
3. Select the area that you want to adjust
using the " /
and then push the set button.
The value in the selected area will flash
2 times.
4. Change the adjustment value using the
" / " button.
The adjustment range for each area is
from –9 to +4.
For the engine speed and throttle posi-
tion values of each area, refer to the fol-
lowing illustrations.

1. Small opening angle
2. Medium opening angle

TIP
To advance the ignition timing, change the

adjustment value to a positive (+) value. To
retard the ignition timing, change the adjust-
ment value to a negative (–) value.
The difference between the adjustment val-

ues of adjacent areas must not be exces-
sive. The difference
adjustment values of adjacent areas should
be within ±3.
