Before the First Use

Familiarise yourself with the appliance before first using it. Observe the safety
instructions and use the appliance only as described in this operating manual.
Remove all of the packaging material from all parts of the appliance and ac-
cessories. Do not carelessly allow the packaging material to lie around. Plas-
tic bags etc. can become a dangerous toy for children.
Then clean all parts as described in the chapter "Cleaning" on page 11.

Starting Up

1. During operation place the appliance on a level surface.
2. Insert the mains plug into a mains socket.
3. The chocolate fondue is now ready for use.

Operation

1. Place up to 250 g of chocolate into the container (B). You can use cooking
chocolate or e.g. nut chocolate or other sorts. The MAX mark in the container
refers to the volume of the molten chocolate. If you weight the chocolate first,
you may simply place the entire quantity into the container. However, you
have to ensure that the chocolate stays in the container.
2. If you have not yet done it, now place the container (B) into the heating basin.
Do not fill any water into the heating basin! The heating basin must not be
filled. Please ensure that the heating basin is free of foreign bodies so that it
can conduct the heat optimally to the container.
3. Now turn the selection switch (C) to position II to melt the chocolate (approx.
50° C). The appliance operates particularly gently so that the cocoa oils are
not removed from the chocolate. This needs some time. 250 g chocolate will
need approx. 30 minutes. However, you can accelerate the process by push-
ing unmelted pieces of chocolate down into the molten chocolate with the
spatula (G).
4. Once all of the chocolate is molten, turn the selection switch (C) to position I.
The chocolate will be maintained at the optimum temperature of 38° C.
