Using the Software
Windows Vista
Use the Packet Write function which Windows Vista includes so that you can write to a
CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, or DVD+RW in the same way as in the
fl oppy disk operation.
When using a disc to which data was written with Drag-to-Disc on another comput-
er, install the Drag-to-Disc software.
A Click
ENTER , and then click [Continue].
B Click [Next] at the Welcome Message.
Follow the on-screen instructions.
C Click [Finish]

D A message appears advising that the computer must be restarted. Click [Yes].

"x" is the drive letter. You can change the letter to suit your preference.
Windows XP
The following settings are required to use discs containing data written using Drag-
to-Disc with Roxio's DirectCD5 which has been installed on another computer.
A Select
B Click [Advanced Eject Settings], and click [UDF version on current disc] in
[Nonrewritable Media] and [Rewritable Media].
C Click [OK].
D Click [OK].
When using "DVD-RAM Software," the DVD-RAM disc must be disabled using
Drag-to-Disc.
A At [Utility Setup tool] screen in the installation step 3 (
DVD-RAM for Drag-to-Disc Setup].
Follow the on-screen instructions.
B Click [fi nish].
C A message appears advising that the computer must be restarted. Click [Yes].
