Remove battery

WARNING
Risk of injury! Always remove the battery
pack during work breaks and for mainte-
nance / care tasks.
 Press the release button.
 Remove the battery from the device.

Operation

New users should be instructed by an
experienced person and practice han-
dling and techniques before carrying
out any work.

Basic operation

 Check cutting material for foreign bod-
ies, such as paper, films or wires, and
remove them as necessary.
 Removing the blade guard
 Hold the hedge trimmer in both hands.

Turning on the Appliance

 Push the safety button on the handle.
 Press the release button.
 Push the power switch, device starts.
 Release the power switch, device
stops.
NOTICE
Both switches (safety button and power
switch) always have to be pressed so that
the device starts up (two-handed control-
ler)! The order of operation however is not
important.

The device is equipped with a speed con-
trol.
 Set the desired blade speed with the
selector switch.
1 = Normal speed
2 = High speed

Working techniques

 Switch on the hedge trimmer and move
it towards the cutting material.
 Cut leaves and thin branches with an
oscillating movement.
 For thicker branches, use a sawing move-
ment, but do not stab into the plant.
 Cut bushes and hedges from the bot-
tom upwards.
 When cutting tips, make a large swing-
ing movement, tilting the blade slightly
in the process.
 To cut lower plants, for example
groundcovers, hold the blade horizon-
tally.
NOTICE
You achieve an even cut if you use a guide-
line.
