You can check whether the converter was installed
successfully using the Device Manager. To open this,
proceed as follows: Press the ALT key and then press
the X key. Windows 8.x will display a new menu bar.
Look for the entry Device Manager:
Universal Serial Bus controllers
• USB Printing Support
5.2 Installation in Mac OS X 10.8.x, 10.9.x and
10.10.x
The most recent Apple operating systems come standard
with a suitable driver, so it is generally not necessary to
install a driver manually.
• Start your operating system and connect the USB to
parallel converter to a free USB port.
• Your system recognizes and installs the cable.
5.3 Installation on Linux
Since kernel release 2.6.34, the appropriate drivers are
already included. You do not have to compile the driver.
Unfortunately, we do not offer support for Linux. If you are
experiencing problems with the USB-to-serial converter, we
recommend that you find an Internet forum that discusses
your Linux distribution and ask about possible solutions
there.
