Adjusting the Height of the
Machine Holder
Loosen the locking handle of the height adjust-
ment 3. Push and hold the clamping lever 17 of
the height adjustment upward. Slide the ma-
chine holder to the required height and turn it
aside, if required.
Once the machine holder is in the required posi-
tion, release the clamping lever 17 and tighten
the locking handle 3 again.
Adjusting the Drilling Depth
With the depth stop 5, the drilling depth t can
be determined.
Move the machine holder in such a manner that
drill bit tip of the switched off drill lightly touch-
es the workpiece (see "Adjusting the Height of
the Machine Holder", page 14). Turn the drilling-
depth scale 12 so that the zero point is aligned
with the mark 11.
Loosen the locking handle 4 on the depth stop.
Carry out a test drilling. If the required drilling
depth t is reached on the drilling-depth scale 12,
then tighten the locking handle 4 on the depth
stop.
For the following drillings, the drilling depth is
limited to the setting t.
Fastening a Workpiece with the Quick-
clamping Device (Accessory)
Mount the quick-clamping device (see "Mount-
ing the Quick-clamping Device", page 13).
Position the workpiece to be drilled onto the
base plate 9.
Turn the quick-clamping lever 15 in such a man-
ner that the clamping bracket 16 on the quick-
clamping device is level.
Allow the quick-clamping device to face against
the workpiece. Turn the quick-clamping lever 15
in clockwise direction until the workpiece is
firmly clamped.
After drilling, loosen the quick-clamping lever 15
by turning in anticlockwise direction. Push the
quick-clamping device 7 upward and remove the
workpiece.

Working Advice
For drilling, observe the operating instruc-
tions of your drill.
Centre-punch metal workpieces.
For drilling, lower the drill to the required drill-
ing depth with the drilling lever 10.
For through holes, pay attention not to drill into
the base plate 9.
When the desired drilling depth is reached, piv-
ot drilling lever 10 back.
Switch the drill off when the drilling procedure
is over. Pull the plug from the mains receptacle
and/or remove the battery before making ad-
justments on the tool or changing tool accesso-
ries.

Maintenance and Service

Maintenance and Cleaning

Keep the drill stand clean at all times for good
working results and safe working.
If required, clean the drill column 2 with a dry
cloth and lightly apply Bosch oil (accessory).
The locking handles 3, 4 and 13 are free-running
so that they can be turned to an ergonomically
favourable position. When the locking handle is
tightened, pull the handle away from the machine
holder in axial direction, turn it to the required
position and allow it to engage again.
If the drill stand should fail despite the care taken
in manufacturing and testing procedures, repair
should be carried out by an authorised after-sales
service centre for Bosch power tools.
In all correspondence and spare parts orders,
please always include the 10-digit article number
given on the nameplate of the drill stand.
