The battery symbol shows the state of the inserted rechargeable
batteries.
The batteries are fully charged.
Battery voltage is low.
As soon as the battery symbol starts flashing, the
rechargeable batteries should be recharged.

9. Inserting or replacing the rechargeable batteries

• Lift the belt clip on the back evenly and turn it by 90° anti-clockwise.
• Take off the battery compartment lid by pulling it downwards.
• Remove the empty rechargeable batteries (if batteries have
already been inserted).
• Insert 3 of the 6 supplied 1.2 V/DC AAA batteries observing the
correct polarity.
• Re-attach the battery compartment lid.
• Turn the belt clip back to its original position.

10. Charging the rechargeable batteries

Before the first use, we recommend completely charging the
supplied rechargeable batteries.
Caution! Only rechargeable batteries may be
charged. Before plugging in the charger cable into
the walkie-talkie, make sure you have inserted
rechargeable batteries instead of normal batteries.
There is a corresponding warning on the back of the
walkie-
talkie. If you try to charge non-rechargeable batteries,
there is the risk of explosion and gassing. Non-
rechargeable batteries must not be recharged. The
rechargeable batteries may only the charged using
the appropriate charger adapter available as an
