The following work must be completed after the installation of the BMW car phone Sie-
mens BIT II
1. Register the telephone receiver with the hands-free control module
To register the telephone receiver with the hands-free control module properly it is
essential to stick to the times set out below.
If the time is too long or too short the telephone receiver will not be registered. In this
case the registration procedure must be repeated.

- Set the slide switch in the eject box to
0
position 1
- Turn the ignition key to position 1 (radio
terminal)
- Wait for 15 seconds and then turn the
ignition key to position 0

- Set the slide switch in the eject box to
0
position 0 without 8 seconds
F 38 0252 2W
- After waiting for a further 2 seconds set the
0
slide switch in the eject box back to
position 1
