4. Startup and Operation
4.1 Setting up the tripod
• Openthe tripod egs untilthey reachthe first position
• If youwant to setthe tripod to one of the other 3

possible angles,pul the releases (3)andadjustthe tripod
egsto the desiredange
• Youcan adjustthe engthof the tripod egs in orderto
achievethe desiredheightfor taking photos
• Todo this, loosenthe screwclamps(4)byturning them
approximately a haf a turn clockwise (whenviewedfrom
above)until you no ongerfeel any resistance Thetripod
eg segmentbeingadjustedthen automatical y extends
to its ful ength
• If desired, a djustit to the engthyouwant andthen lock
it byturningthe screwclamp(4)counter-clockwise u nti
it is secure
• Repeat t his stepfor the othertwo legs
Note - Tripod legs
Thelegsof the Traveller 1 46 Premium Duocan be
verticallyswivelledby up to 1800in threestages, w hich
makes it especially compactandeasyto packor store.
• Extendthe middlecolumncompletely this ensures
that the tripod will be ascompactaspossible after
the legshavebeenfo ded up
• Pullthe release on the hingeof oneof the tripod legs
• Move thetripodlegupfullyontothemiddle column.
Therubberfeet (5)of the tripod legscan be removed
and replacedwith spikes. T hespikes are locatedin the
inner ocket of the stora eba
4.2Adjusting the height of the middle column
Theheight o fthemiddle column canbeinfinitely a djusted
usinga screwclamp(4)
• Todo this, loosenthe screwclamp(4)by turningit
approximately a haf aturncounter-clockwise
viewedfrom above)until you no ongerfeel any
resistance
• Pullthe middlecolumnout to the desiredlengthand hold
it in place
• Lockthe middlecolumnin placebyturningthe screw
clamp(4)clockw•se (whenviewedfrom above)until
secure
4.3 Weight hook and removable middle column
A weight hook(6) is ocatedon the bottomendof the
middlecolumn Youcan hang weight(for exampe: your
camerabag)on this hookto furtherstabilizethe tripod
Theweight hook(6) can be unscrewed and removed and
the middlecolumncan be removed, f lippedby 1800and
re-inserted i n order totakephotos close totheground
• Remove the weight hook(6) by unscrewing it
• Open the lowerscrew clamp(4)byturningit counter-clockwise
andpul the middle columnupwards o utofthetripodbase
• Flipthe middlecolumnby 1800and insertit into the
tripod basisfromthe bottom, setthe desiredength and
ockthe middlecolumnusingthe screwclamp(4)
