Manual Focusing

When auto focus doesn't focus correctly or when focusing on a particular point of a three-dimensional
object, you can focus manually. Manual focusing is available up to approx. 65mm above the document
table. Because of depth of field, sharp focus may not be achieved for the entire area of a three-dimensional
object.
■ Undesirable objects for focusing
Objects such as those listed below may present some difficulty with focusing. If this happens, focus the lens
manually.
1. Objects with a low reflection factor (such as a dark cloth, hair, etc.)
2. Objects having a glossy or reflective surface (glassware, etc.)
3. Objects viewed through glass.
4. Objects with low contrast.
5. Objects with only horizontal lines or diagonal lines.
