of the button BACK, to go back further in

An overview of the control functions and
displays can be found in chapter 6.3.4.

6.3.2 Replay via the network

The device in the local network from which the
module obtains the audio files must support the
UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) standard and be
able to be used as a media server, e. g. a com-
puter on which Windows Media Player (version
10 or higher) has been installed or a router with
media server function to which a USB storage
medium with audio files can be connected.
Windows is a registered trademark of Microsoft Corpora-
tion in the United States and other countries.
1) Set up the device providing the audio files
to act as a media server (e. g. make the nec-
essary sharing and media streaming settings
on your computer). To do so, refer to the
manual or software documentation of the
corresponding device.
2) In the menu "Music player" (fig. 36), turn
the knob CONTROL SELECT to select the
menu item
the knob to call it up: The name of the media
server will appear. If multiple media servers
are listed, select the media server desired and
press the knob to open its media archive.
3) The menu structure in the media archive de-
pends on the media server used. Turn the
knob CONTROL SELECT to select categories /
folders and titles and press the knob to call
them up. When a title is called up, its replay
will start.
4) To return to the previous selection level in
the menu, turn the knob CONTROL SELECT
or press the button BACK. From this level,
it is possible to select a different title or,
by means of the button BACK, to go back
40
and then press
Shared media
further in the menu.
An overview of the control functions and
displays can be found in chapter 6.3.4.
Note: Media servers having previously been connected
to the module and supporting the function "Wake
on LAN" (e. g. a computer configured accordingly)
will be displayed with a question mark if they are
currently not available in the network (e. g. when they
have been switched off or disconnected from the
network). When such a server is selected and called
up, the module will try to "wake up" the server via
the network and connect to it. To delete servers with
question marks from the list, call up the menu item
and confirm the prompt with
Prune servers

6.3.3 Creating and replaying a playlist

A playlist can be created to play specific titles from
different folders. Titles from a UPnP-compatible
device (media server) in the network and from a
USB storage medium connected can be mixed.
Note: The playlist will be deleted when the main
device into which the module has been installed is
switched off, but it will not be deleted when the mod-
ule is switched to the standby mode.
1) To add a title to the playlist: While playing the
title or when it is selected, keep the button
CONTROL SELECT pressed until the following
message appears:
Added to My playlist
To add all titles of a folder to the playlist,
select the folder and keep the button pressed
until the message shown above appears.
If the folder has subfolders, the titles of the
subfolders will also be added to the playlist.
Note: The playlist does not have a folder structure;
the titles will be added to the playlist one after
the other.
2) To start the playlist, press the button MENU
(the menu in fig. 36 will appear) and call up
the list via the line
title is selected. Press the button CONTROL
SELECT to start the title or select another title
to start with.
An overview of the control functions and
displays can be found in chapter 6.3.4.
3) To delete a title from the list, select this title
from the list and keep the knob CONTROL
SELECT pressed until the following confirma-
tion prompt appears:
