13 Cleaning and care

WARNING: Risk of injury by moving parts, electric shock or burns. Before cleaning, always discon-
nect the appliance from the mains socket and allow the appliance to cool down completely. Use care when
handling the cutter head (sharp blades). The appliance is subject to residual heat and escaping steam after
use (steam tube, metal parts/accessories, marked hot surfaces). The appliance is subject to residual heat

WARNING: To protect against fire, electric shock or injury, do not immerse the appliance, mains cable or
plug in water or any liquid. Do not rinse them under the tap.
Important:
– Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions. They damage the hous-
ing and can cause the product to malfunction. Use mild dish detergent.
– The detachable water tank is not dishwasher safe.
Empty the drip tray regularly during use. Clean the appliance after each use.

Disconnect the appliance from the mains socket before cleaning.

Wipe the external surfaces of the appliance with a soft cloth/sponge lightly moistened with water.

Remove the detachable parts and wash them in soapy water with a soft sponge (metal funnel, metal filters, drip

tray, drip plate, water tank). Rinse well after cleaning.
Wipe all the detachable parts dry after cleaning.

Make sure the appliance is properly assembled before connecting the appliance to the mains outlet.

13.1.1 Cleaning the grinder and powder outlet channel
When using the bean grinder, the powder outlet channel may be blocked by the coffee beans or other factors. Clean
the powder outlet channel regularly in accordance with the following instructions:
Clean the powder outlet and grinder at least once every two weeks.

Clean the powder passage and grinder wheel when there is a reduction in the amount of powder released.

Clean the powder channel before using the coffee grinder to grind fine coffee grounds.

The machine is equipped with an anti-static system that may prevent coffee grounds from being released during

the grinding process. If coffee grounds leak out from the funnel, use a brush to clean the powder entrance area.
