10.2 Powering on/off

Before connecting the appliance to the mains outlet, make sure that:
the appliance is properly assembled,

the water tank is filled,
D
the knob is at the twelve o'clock position.

1. Plug in the appliance and press the ON/OFF button to turn the appliance on.
The machine will enter preheating mode.

The 3 indicator lights show the various operating modes of the machine. The brewing, hot water and steam func-
tions cannot be used at the same time.
2. Warm-up: Press the ON/OFF button once to enter warm-up mode.
The ON/OFF indicator light will flash and the grind indicator light will turn on.

Standby mode: The coffee machine will automatically enter standby mode when it has finishing heating up.
In this mode, all lights turn on, except the clean/preheat indicator lights, and all functions of the coffee machine

can be used normally.
Sleep mode: The machine will automatically enter sleep mode after 20 minutes of inactivity. You can activate the
machine again by pressing the ON/OFF button (the machine will enter warm-up mode).
3. To turn the appliance off, press the ON/OFF button when the appliance is in standby mode.
The four indicator lights will go off.

4. Unplug the appliance from the mains outlet when it is not in use to disconnect it completely from the power supply.
Do not leave the appliance unattended while it is connected to the mains.

10.3 Brewing coffee

Tip:
For optimal results, we recommend that you preheat the appliance, including the funnel, filter and cup before
brewing coffee. To do this, place the filter in the funnel and lock it to the funnel bracket without putting coffee
powder inside. Press the single-cup or double-cup button to pump hot water through the pipes and out of the
funnel. Collect the hot water with a coffee cup.
10.3.1 To brew a single-cup of coffee:
1. In standby mode, install the single-cup filter into the funnel, add approximately 13 grams of coffee grounds and
compact it using the powder tamper with a force of about 12.5 kg.
2. Then align the funnel with the funnel bracket and turn the funnel counterclockwise to lock it in place.
3. Place a coffee cup on the drip plate and press the SINGLE button.
The machine will start to brew a single cup of coffee and the single-cup indicator light will stay constant. The

machine will stop automatically when the set coffee amount has been reached (approximately 30±10 ml). All
the lights on the control panel will turn on and the machine will return to standby mode.
10.3.2 To brew a double-cup of coffee:
1. In standby mode, install the double-cup filter into the funnel, load approximately 19 grams of coffee grounds and
compact it using the powder tamper with a force of about 12.5 kg.
2. Then align the funnel with the funnel bracket and turn the funnel counterclockwise to lock it in place.
3. Place a coffee cup on the drip plate and press the DOUBLE button.
The machine will start to brew a double cup of coffee and the double-cup indicator light will stay constant. The

machine will stop automatically when the set coffee amount has been reached (approximately 60±15 ml). All
the lights on the control panel will turn on and the machine will return to standby mode.
