Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Die DVM-Module dienen ohne Beschaltung als Anzeige zur Spannungsmessung bis
199,9 mV. Andere Messbereiche können durch externe Serienwiderstände oder Span-
nungsteiler beliebig erstellt werden.
Die DVM-Module sind zum Einbau in Gehäuse oder Schalttafel etc. vorgesehen und
dürfen nur im eingebauten Zustand in Betrieb genommen werden.
Die Spannungsversorgung beträgt 9 V DC. Zur Beleuchtung der Anzeige sind Leucht-
dioden eingebaut, die separat angesteuert werden können.
Eine Verwendung in Feuchträumen oder im Freien ist nicht zulässig.
Das gesamte Produkt darf nicht geändert bzw. umgebaut werden!
Die Sicherheitshinweise sind unbedingt zu beachten!

Aus Sicherheitsgründen ist das eigenmächtige
Umbauen und/oder Verändern des Gerätes nicht gestattet.
Das Produkt ist kein Spielzeug und gehört nicht in Kinderhände!
Lassen Sie das Verpackungsmaterial nicht achtlos liegen. Dieses könnte
für Kinder zu einem gefährlichen Spielzeug werden.
In gewerblichen Einrichtungen sind die Unfallverhütungsvorschriften des
Verbandes der gewerblichen Berufsgenossenschaften für elektrische
Anlagen und Betriebsmittel zu beachten.
Die DVM-Module dürfen nicht in Installationen der Überspannungskate-
gorie III verwendet werden. Sie sind nicht gegen Lichtbogenexplosionen
geschützt.
Die Module dürfen nicht für medizinische oder öffentliche Zwecke einge-
setzt werden.
Seien Sie besonders vorsichtig beim Umgang mit Spannungen größer
25 V~ bzw. 35 VDC. Bereits bei diesen Spannungen können Sie bei Be-
rührung elektrischer Leitungen einen lebensgefährlichen elektrischen
Schlag erhalten.
Ein Betrieb unter widrigen Umgebungsbedingungen ist nicht zulässig.
Widrige Umgebungsbedingungen sind:
• Nässe oder zu hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit
• Staub und brennbare Gase, Dämpfe oder Lösungsmittel
Wenn anzunehmen ist, dass ein gefahrloser Betrieb nicht mehr möglich
ist, so ist das Gerät außer Betrieb zu setzen und gegen unbeabsichtigten
Betrieb zu sichern.
Es ist anzunehmen, dass ein gefahrloser Betrieb nicht mehr möglich ist,
wenn:
• das Gerät sichtbare Beschädigungen aufweist,
• das Gerät nicht mehr arbeitet und
• nach längerer Lagerung unter ungünstigen Verhältnissen oder
• nach schweren Transportbeanspruchungen.
Einbau
Montieren Sie die DVM-Module mit den beiliegenden Montageklammern in eine vor-
gefertigte, rechteckige Frontplattenöffnung mit folgenden Abmessungen:
DVM-210 : B 45,5 mm x H 22 mm.
DVM-310 : B 68,5 mm x H 33 mm.
Durch die Klemmhalterung ist eine schnelle und einfache Montage möglich. Drücken
Sie das DVM-Modul von außen in die Frontplattenöffnung, bis dieses einrastet.
Inbetriebnahme
Das DVM-Modul kann ohne Messadapter direkt betrieben werden.
Die maximale Messspannung liegt hier bei 199,9 mV Gleichspannung.
Sie müssen die Spannungsversorgung sowie die weitere Beschaltung für den Dezi-
malpunkt oder die Anzeigenbeleuchtung wie folgt vornehmen.
Die Spannungsversorgung für die Module und die Anzeigenbeleuchtung beträgt
9VDC.
Die max. Messspannung beträgt 199,9 mV DC.
Folgende Anschlusspunkte sind erforderlich:

Spannungsversorgung
Löten Sie vorsichtig die stromlosen Spannungsversorgungsleitungen an den Lötpunk-
ten „VDD" (Pluspol) und „GND" (Minuspol) fest.
Wünschen Sie eine Displaybeleuchtung, so löten Sie eine Verbindungsleitung von
„VDD" zu den Lötpunkten „LED+" (Pluspol) und von „GND" zu „LED -".
Achtung
Verwenden Sie nur isolierte Leitungen, um Kurzschlüsse zu vermeiden.
Bitte beachten Sie das die Spannungsversorung des Messmodules
gegebenfalls galvanisch von den Messeingängen getrennt sein müssen.
Dies ist abhängig von dem externen Messaufbau z.B.wenn die Spannungs-
versorgung des Messgerätes aus gleicher quelle s tammt wie die Mess-
spannung.
Messeingang
Löten Sie vorsichtig die stromlosen Messleitungen an den Lötpunkten „In+" (Pluspol)
und „IN -" (Minuspol) fest.
Achtung
Schließen Sie den Lötvorgang zügig ab, um die Platine und die Bauteile
nicht zu überhitzen und zu beschädigen.
Dezimalpunkte
Die Dezimalpunkte in der Anzeige können je nach Messbereich (externe Beschaltung
mit Reihenwiederständen oder Spannungsteilern) frei gewählt werden.
Überbrücken Sie hierfür an der gewünschten Lötbrücke (DP1, DP2, DP3) die beiden
Lötpunkte.
Für den Standard-Anschluss (ohne externe Beschaltung) von 199,9 mV setzen Sie bit-
te die Lötbrücke „DP3" für 1.xxx mV.
Entsorgung
Ist das DVM-Modul nicht mehr funktionsfähig, so muss es nach den geltenden gesetz-
lichen Vorschriften entsorgt werden.

Prescribed Use
The DVM modules are designed for the display of voltage measurement up to 199.9
mV without configuration. Different measuring ranges can be set as desired by external
series resistors or voltage dividers.
The DVM modules are intended to be installed into housings or panels etc. and may
only be operated when properly installed.
Voltage supply is 9 V DC. To illuminate the display, light emitting diodes are fitted,
which can be controlled separatly.
It is not permitted to use it in damp rooms or outdoors.
No part of the product may be modified or rebuilt!
Always observe the safety instructions!
Safety and Danger Warnings
In the case of any damages which are caused due to the failure to
observe these operating instructions, the guarantee will expire. We do
not assume liability for resulting damages!
The unauthorized conversion and/or modification of the unit is
inadmissible because of safety reasons.
This product is not a toy and should be kept out of reach of children.
Do not leave packaging material unattended. These may become
dangerous playing material for children.
In industrial facilities, the safety regulations laid down by the professional
trade association for electrical equipment and facilities must be adhered
to.
The DVM modules may not be used for installations of overvoltage
category III. There are not protected against arc explosions.
The modules may not be used for medical or public purposes.
Be especially careful when dealing with voltages higher than 25 V~ or
35 V DC. At such a voltages you can already get a life-threatening
electric shock when you get in contact with electric wires.
Operation under adverse ambient conditions is not permitted.
Unfavorable environmental operating conditions are:
• Wetness or too high air humidity
• Dust and flammable gases, vapours or solvents.
If there is any reason to believe that safe operation has become
impossible put the unit out of operation and secure it against any
unintended operation.
Safe operation must be presumed to be no longer possible, if:
• the device exhibits visible damage,
• the device does not operate any longer and
• the device was stored under unfavourable conditions for a long period
of time or
• the device was exposed to extraordinary stress caused by transport.
Installation
Install the DVM modules with the installation brackets, included in delivery, into a pre-
fabricated, rectangular front plate opening with the following dimensions:
DVM-210 : W 45.5 mm x H 22 mm.
DVM-310 : W 68.5 mm x H 33 mm.
The clamping mount makes this a quick and simple installation. Press the DVM module
from outside into the front plate opening until it clicks into place.
Getting Started
The DVM module can be used directly without measuring adapter.
The maximum measuring voltage is 199.9 mV direct current.
Voltage supply as well as further wiring for the decimal points or the display illumination
has to be carried out as followed.
The voltage supply for the modules and the display illumination is 9 V DC.
The max. measuring voltage is 199.9 mV DC.
The following terminal points are necessary:

Power supply
Carefully solder the de-energized voltage supply lines to the soldering points "VDD"
(plus pole) and „GND" (minus pole) .
If you want to have an illuminated display, you have to solder a connecting line from
„VDD" to the soldering points „LED+" (plus pole) and from „GND" to „LED -".
Caution
Only use insulated cables to avoid short circuits.
Please note, if required, a galvanic isolation between the Operating
Voltage and the measurement input circuit is necessary. This is depends
on the external measuring setup, for examle the Operating Voltage and
the Measure voltage are from the same source.
Measuring input
Carefully solder the de-energized measuring lines to the soldering points „In+" (plus
pole) and „IN -" (minus pole) .
Caution
Complete the soldering process speedily as to not overheat and damage
the circuit board and the components.
Decimal points
The decimal points on the display can be freely selected, depending on measuring
range (external wiring with series resistors or voltage dividers).
To do this, link the two soldering points at the desired soldering link (DP1, DP2, DP3).
For the standard connection (without external wiring) of 199.9 mV please set soldering
link „DP3" for 1.xxx mV.
Disposal
If the DVM modul no longer works, it needs to be disposed of in accordance with the
legal valid regulations.
