Intended Use
With the integrated heating module and the fan the fan heater generates a warm airstream for
heating . Two output stages (1000W and 2000W) are available, furthermore an imitation fire can
be activated.
This product is only approved for the connection to 230V~/50Hz alternating current. The prod-
uct can only be used in dry interiors; it must not get damp or wet.
Any use other than that described above will damage the product and may involve other risks,
such as short-circuit, fire and electric shock. Do not change or modify any part of the product.
Please read the operating instructions completely and observe the safety and operator instruc-
tions before and during use of the product!
This product complies with the applicable National and European specifications. All names of

Safety instructions
The warranty will be void for damage arising from non-compliance with these
operating instructions! Liability for any and all consequential damage is
excluded!
We do not accept liability for damage to property or personal injury caused
by improper handling or non-compliance with these safety instructions! In
such cases the guarantee will be voided.
Dear customer,
using the product involves different hazards, such as e.g. burns, fire, explosion and
electric shock when improperly operated.
For that reason the following safety information is to be unconditionally observed.
Read the safety instructions thoroughly!
• The unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the product is inadmissible
because of safety and approval reasons (CE). Do not open/disassemble it! There
are no parts on the inside that need to be adjusted or maintained by you.
Maintenance, settings work or repairs may only be carried out by a specialist/spe-
cialised workshop.
• The device is designed according to safety class I. It must only be operated on a
mains socket with earthing.
• For the electricity source, only a 230V~/50Hz (10/16 A) mains outlet with a pro-
tective conductor (wall socket) must be used. Never try to operate the device with
another voltage.
• The product is only designed for use in closed, dry indoor locations, locations, it
must not get damp or wet, lethal danger through electric shock!
•
Never set up the product in the direct vicinity of a bathroom, a shower or a bathing
tub or the like.
• Never plug in, unplug, touch or use the product with damp or wet hands.
• Never use the fan heater in vehicles of any kind and similar mobile locations or
rooms.
• Take the mains plug by the intended gripping surface only when pulling it out of
the socket. Do not pull the cable.
• The product does not contain an integrated thermostat for regulating the room
temperature. Turn off the product at appropriate time! Danger of fire!
• The product is not a toy and must be kept out of the reach of children. Be espe-
cially careful if children are around.
•
Children cannot see the danger arising from incorrect use of electrical devices.
Children could try to insert items into the device. There is a risk of a fatal elec-
tric shock! Furthermore there is a high risk of injuries by the hot surfaces; dan-
ger of fire!
•
Install the product so that it cannot be reached by children.
• Unwind the mains cable completely. If the mains cable is not unwound complete-
ly it can cause overheating; danger of fire!
• The power cable must not be pinched or damaged by sharp edges. Do not place
any objects on the mains cable, do not allow it to become kinked.
• Install the mains cable in a way that no one can stumble over it and that the mains
plug is easily accessible.
•
Do not install the mains cable under carpet or the like.
• Do not use any extension cables, no ballast and no dimmer or the like. Plug the

mains plug directly into e.g. a wall socket. Do not connect the fan heater to a timer
or a circuit that is switched.
• Do not start to use the product when it is damaged (e.g. housing, mains cable). A
defective connecting cable must only be replaced by a specialist. Danger to life by
an electric shock!
• For reasons of safety, pull the mains plug out of the mains socket before cleaning
the device, during a thunderstorm or when the device will not be used for a longer
period of time.
• Always leave space of at least 1.5m to combustible or inflammable materials
or item (curtains, doors, furniture etc.). If the distance is too small, there is a risk
of fire.
• Never cover the unit! Do not touch the openings of the product; do not put objects
in the openings. Danger to life by an electric schock; danger of fire!
• Never pour liquids onto or next to the product. You run the risk of causing a fire or
a fatal electric shock. However, if liquids get into the device, immediately isolate
the mains socket (fuse), then separate the mains plug from the mains socket and
consult an expert. Do not operate the device.
• It is not permitted to operate the device in environments with a high dust content,
flammable gasses, vapours or solvents. There is a danger of fire and explosion!
• Never place the product on an unstable or moving surface. Always set up the fan
heater in a way it cannot tilt or fall. Tilting/falling can cause a fire hazard and per-
sons could be injured or the product could be damaged.
• Do not operate the product when it is unattended.
• The air outlet will become very hot within a short period of time; danger of being
burnt! Take the necessary care in using the heater.
• When using the heater for the first time heated parts of the casing could cause an
odour nuisance for some time. Ventilate the room where the fan heater is set up.
• Only move, transport or store the product when is has cooled down completely.
For this disconnect the mains unit from the mains voltage, pull the plug out of the
power socket.
• Only use the device in a temperate climate, not a tropical climate.
• Do not leave the packaging material lying around carelessly since it constitutes a
danger to children.
• Never connect the product directly after transferring it from a cold to a warm room.
The condensation water that develops in such cases could destroy the device or
cause an electric shock. Allow the appliance to reach room temperature. Wait until
the condensation water has evaporated. This might take several hours. Only after
this should it be plugged in to the mains supply and the product put into use.
• The product is not suitable for commercial use.
• When in doubt about how to connect and how to install the device correctly or
should any questions arise that are not answered in this operating manual, con-
tact our Technical Advisory Service or another expert. Please consult a specialist
if you have any doubts regarding the use or safety of the product.
• The product may not be subjected to extreme temperatures, strong vibrations,
heavy mechanical strain, direct sunlight or high degrees of humidity.
•
This may damage the product and lead to a lethal electric shock.
• Only a specialist who is familiar with the risks and relevant regulations may carry
out repairs or open the appliance. Only original replacement parts may be used.
• Handle the product with care. It can be damaged through impact, blows, or acci-
dental drops, even from a low height.
Mounting
Observe all other safety instructions and information in this operating
manual.
• Choose an appropriate mounting place. It has to be fixed, big enough, level, stable and far
away from inflammable materials and items, distance at least 1.5m!
•
The fan heater is only intended to be set up on a horizontally, level, smooth and sufficiently big
surface (floor); it must not be wall-mounted.
•
Make sure that no object (e. g. a curtain) can come into contact with the heater or into its vicin-
ity through a draught. Danger of fire!
• Use the product in dry indoor areas only.
• Also keep sufficient distance from yourself when the fan heater is operating, there is the dan-
ger of being burnt.
• The product should be positioned out of the reach of children.
• Using the fan heater is not recommended for people with slow reactions or heat sensitivity.
• Do not set up the fan heater without appropriate protection for high quality furniture surfaces,
which could be damaged (scratch marks, furthermore e.g. discolourations by heat).
Initial operation
• Choose an appropriate mounting place, see above. Never operate the device without supervi-
sion.
• Switch off the fan heater, put all switches in the „O" position (marking on the switch).
• Plug the mains plug into a mains socket (230V~/50Hz) with earth connector.
When using the heater for the first time heated parts of the case could cause
an odour nuisance for some time. Ventilate the room where the fan heater is
set up.
• Activate the fire imitation with the right switch by putting the switch into the „I" position (marked
on switch).
• Activate output stage I (1000W) with the central switch by putting the switch into the „I" position
(marked on switch).
• After output stage 1 is activated, output stage 2 can be activated by the left switch (2000 Watt),
therefore put the switch into the „I" position (marked on switch).
Changing the light bulb
There are two light bulbs on the inside of the housing (type candle light bulb, 25 Watt, E14). To
exchange the light bulb properly, proceed as follows:
• Set all three switches to the position "0" (indicated on the switch).
• Disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket.
• Remove the screws of the back of the housing.
• Unscrew the defect light bulb(s).
• Screw in the new light bulb (candle light bulb, 25 Watt, E14).
• Attach the back of the housing again by screwing in the previously removed screws
Decommissioning
• Put all switches into the „0" position (marked on switch).
Do not touch the case, danger of being burnt! Allow the the product to cool down
completely before you transport it.
• Disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket if you no longer need the device.
