Do not carelessly leave the packaging material lying around since it could become
a dangerous plaything for children.
The product should only be used in dry indoor areas, it must not be exposed to
damp or wet.
Handle the product with care; knocks, blows or even a fall from a low height can
damage it.
Never look directly into the LEDs at the front side of the camera, you run the risk to
damage your eyes!
Driver/software installation
• Start up your operating system. Place the CD included in delivery in the corresponding drive
of your computer.
• The software now starts automatically and you can install the drivers/software.
If the CD does not start automatically, you have to start the installation program on the CD
manually.
Follow the instructions of the software.
• After installation of the driver/software connect the USB plug of the camera to a free USB2.0
port of your computer. Windows recognises the new hardware and completes the driver instal-
lation.
• Start the software.
After connection of the camera to the USB port, the LEDs of the camera light up.
In the software an unclear picture will appear (only bright and dark spots, but no
proper picture). This is normal since the optics of the camera can only be sharply
focused on objects that are very near to the camera lens.
Operation
• Move the front side of the camera as close as possible to the desired object (e. g. place the
front side on a daily newspaper). The maximum distance to the object is about 4 cm.
• Adjust the picture until it gets sharp by using the adjustment wheel.
By means of the used optics the picture can be focussed in two magnifying levels
(see technical data section).
Do not overwind the adjustment wheel. Turn the adjustment wheel slowly so that
you can focus the picture exactly.
With reflective surfaces or objects the LED light can cause too bright pictures or
reflections.
• Rotate the camera, if necessary, until the picture is adjusted in accordance with your needs.
• Make sure no objects touch the lens as they might damage it. Do not touch the optics (lens will
get dirty).
