8 Setup and installation

WARNING
Damage to the refrigerant circuit.
Flammable refrigerant can escape and cause
an explosive gas/air mixture. Fire hazard.
▪ Do not obstruct the ventilation openings in
the appliance housing. Use only original
accessory parts.
▪ Only install the appliance in well-ventilated
rooms.
▪ Do not install the appliance in cellars or
lowered rooms.
▪ Ducts and wall bushings must be sealed
under and behind the unit to protect
against fire.
▪ The operator must not drill into the appli-
ance or carry out any other work on it.
▪ Do not crush or bend pipes.
CAUTION
Material breakage.
Falling hazard. Impact hazard due to the pos-
sibility of falling goods. Cuts.
▪ Do not climb onto or into the appliance.
Sharp edges of the device. Heavy ap-
pliance parts.
Cutting injuries to the hands. Hands may be-
come trapped.
▪ During setup and installation, observe your
fingers and hands.
▪ Use protective gloves.
NOTICE
Material and property damage in the event of
incorrect positioning.
▪ Place the appliance in a stable operating position
(horizontal alignment).
▪ Set up the appliance only on the designated adjust-
able feet.
▪ Do not expose the appliance to heat radiation at the
place of installation.
▪ Do not expose the appliance to solar radiation at
the place of installation.
▪ Do not expose the appliance to direct air condition-
ing or ventilation at the place of installation.
Material and property damage due to door
damage.
▪ Adhere to minimum clearance around the appli-
ance. Doors must be capable of being opened with-
out obstruction.
Material and property damage due to accumula-
tion of warm exhaust air (heat accumulation).
▪ The exhaust air must be able to escape freely at
the top of the appliance.
▪ Minimum clearance from ceiling 500 mm. Lower
minimum clearance by agreement with the manu-
facturer only.
▪ Superstructures or false ceilings directly on the up-
per edge of the appliance may only be installed in
consultation with the manufacturer.

▪ To blow out the warm air, at least 150 mm must re-
main free between the ceiling and any suspended
marketing posters. Lower minimum clearance by
agreement with the manufacturer only.
Only qualified staff may set up and install the appli-
ance or a group of appliances (assembly, sealing).
This work must be conducted according to the
VENTO system commissioning instructions.
These instructions are available from qualified staff.
The installation of an appliance or group of appliances
and the external unit must be performed by qualified
staff in consultation with the operator.
The operator must provide the following infrastructure
in fully operational state before delivery and installa-
tion of the appliances and bears the responsibility for
these systems and interfaces to be connected:
Power supply
Wastewater drainage - defrosting water drain con-
nection
Overall market control
DFU access for remote maintenance (optional)

Technical modifications to the appliance only in agree-
ment and after approval of the manufacturer. Do not
cover the temperature display, safety notes, or the rat-
ing plate (see → Rating plate and serial number).

Communication interface

The appliance features a communication interface
(bus connection). This interface can be used to con-
nect the appliance to a monitoring system.
Several appliances can be interconnected via the
communication interface. Depending on the appliance
type and configuration, it may be necessary to inter-
connect several appliances.
NOTICE
Material and property damage due to faulty
communication between appliances and with
the monitoring system.
Never break an existing bus connection.
The signal to activate daytime/night-time operation is
transmitted to the appliance via the communication in-
terface.
WARNING
Appliance tipping hazard.
Persons may become trapped.
▪ Remove the transport frames only when in
the stable and final installation position.
▪ Use an anti-tilt device.
▪ The device may only be installed and disman-
tled with an anti-tilt device.
▪ Do not remove the anti-tilt device until there is
no more risk of tilting. Fuse protection is pro-
vided, for example, by a wall or opposite de-
vice for island installation. Anti-tilt device is
supplied as an accessory by the AHT installa-
tion service.
▪ Do not remove the additional device-specific
anti-tilt device after installation.
▪ Observe the separate assembly instructions.
▪ If you have any questions, contact the mainte-
