d) Initial Confi guration
Click fi rst on "Setup Wizard" to start the confi guration program.
Then click "Next" and select the desired connection type on the next page.
For DSL, select "PPPoE" and enter the access data that you received from your Internet provider. In the
fi eld "User Name," you must enter your complete username and the corresponding password in the fi eld
"Password." Pay attention to whether an addition to the username is necessary. With T-online, for exam-
ple, the username must look like this: "1111111111112222222222220001@t-online.de"
If you receive the Internet access via your cable connection (e.g. Kabel Deutschland), select "DHCP Cli-
ent."
For an Internet connection without dial-up data and fi xed IP addresses, select "Static IP." Then enter the IP
address, the subnet mask, the gateway and the DNS server.
After you have selected your access, click again on "Next."
In the next window, you can change the IP address of the mini router. Here in "Setup Wizard," you have
only the option to change the last digit of the address. If you change the setting here, you must re-enter the
username and password after closing the setup. Click on "Next".
Here you can change the WLAN SSID "ap-game-xxxxxx." Confi rm by clicking "Next."
If you need a WLAN with WEP encryption, you can change the key here if desired. Otherwise, we recom-
mend that you set the encryption high to WPA2. You also have the option to deactivate the second SSID
in the normal setup.
Click once on "Finish" to end the initial confi guration. The router restarts briefl y and applies the settings.
Thereby the initial confi guration is completed.
e) Further Confi guration
You have the option to change yet more settings.
To alter the WLAN settings, click above on "Wireless". To deactivate the second SSID, for example, click
on "Multiple AP" and deselect the check box after "AP1." Confi rm with "Apply Changes."
To change the access password to the router, click on "Administration." Enter "admin" by "User Name," and
under that, enter the new password twice. Then click again on "Apply Changes."
If you wish to change the IP address, click on "Network." Change the address and also accordingly the
"DHCP Client Range." Confi rm again with "Apply Changes."
AP Mode (Access Point)
a) Preparation
First switch on your existing router and wait until the self-test is completed.
Now you must decide whether you want to keep the standard settings of the mini router (1x WLAN with
WPA2, 1x WLAN with WEP, etc.) or whether you wish to change the settings. As soon as the connection
to the existing router is available, you can change the settings of the mini router only if you assign your
computer a static IP address (e.g. 192.168.1.x, x = 2 to 249).
If you do not want to change anything in the web interface, proceed to b). The setup is closed after this
point. Otherwise proceed to c).
b) Connection and Linking to Router, without Web Confi guration
Connect the LAN port with a 1:1 network cable to a LAN port of your existing router.
Wait a few seconds until the connection is completed. All the LEDs on the mini router must then light up.
Next you must reconnect your PC to the WLAN of the mini router. You can do this with the help of the WPS
function or manually. For information on how to do this, see section b) in the chapter "Auto Mode."
As soon as the connection is available, your computer receives an IP address from your existing router.
The confi guration is thus complete.
c) Connection and Linking to Router, with Web Confi guration
This portion of the confi guration is identical with the chapter "Auto Mode" sections b), c) and e). Follow all
three points.
When you have fi nished all settings, close the web interface and connect the LAN port with a 1:1 network
cable to a LAN port of your existing router.
Restart your computer and reconnect it with the WLAN of the mini router. The confi guration is thus com-
plete.
Converter Mode (WLAN Client)
a) Confi guration via WPS
The easiest way to confi gure the Converter Mode is with the help of the WPS function.
First press the WPS button on your existing router (on this, please see the operating instructions of your
router).
When the router is in search mode, press and hold the WPS button on the mini router for about 3 seconds.
When the WPS LEDs on both devices have gone out, the confi guration should be complete.
Continue to section c).
b) Manual Confi guration
First connect the mini router with a 1:1 network cable to the LAN port of your computer.
Now re-open the web interface of the mini router. For information on how to do this, see section c) in the
chapter "Auto Mode."
Now, in the web interface, click on "Setup Wizard" and then on "Site Survey."
A list of the available WLAN networks is shown. Select the correct one using "Select" and confi rm with
"Next."
In the next window, check to see whether the settings for the encryption are correct and enter your WLAN
password after "Pre-Shared Key." To save, click "Finished."
The mini router now restarts. Open the web interface again. Here, if all settings are correct, "Connected"
will be shown under "Wireless Confi guration" in the status window. Close the web interface and restart your
computer if necessary.
c) Completing the Confi guration
Now you can connect your mini router with a 1:1 network cable to almost any network device that has a
LAN port (e.g. laptop, game console, etc.). For the respective network device, it appears as if it had a direct
connection to your main router. The IP address is also assigned by your router.
To expand the LAN ports, it is possible to use a network switch between the devices and the mini router.

Resetting to Factory Settings

On the underside, there is a countersunk reset button, with which the router can be reset to the factory
settings.
Connect the mini router to the power supply and plug it into a mains socket, if this has not been done already.
Wait about 20 seconds until the self test has fi nished. Then press and hold the "Reset" button for about 10
seconds. Then release the button.
The router restarts; this takes about 20 seconds. Then it is reset to the factory settings (IP address
192.168.1.x; username "admin" and password "password").

Maintenance and Cleaning

The product does not require any maintenance and should never be disassembled for any reason.
Disconnect the product from the power supply before cleaning, unplug the wall plug transformer from the
mains socket (all network connections will cease to function). Also disconnect the RJ45 cable.
Dust can easily be removed using a clean, soft brush and a vacuum cleaner.
Do not use aggressive cleaning agents as these can cause discolouration.
Do not press too strongly on the surface, to prevent scratch marks.
Disposal
Electrical and electronic products do not belong in household waste!
Please dispose of an unserviceable product according to the current statutory requirements.
