ALLGEMEIN
Die EAC 2-Einlesestation ist ein Tischgerät mit serieller
Schnittstelle zum Lesen von berührungslosen Read-Only
PROXY-Datenträgern. Die Datenträger werden dazu in die
Mulde des Terminals gelegt. Die Informationen können
an die EAC2-Software
weitergeleitet werden.

ANSCHLUSS
Der Anschluss von RS 232C Bus und Versorgung erfolgt auf
der Rückseite der EAC 2-Einlesestations über einen DB-9
Stecker (Bus) und eine Fremdspannungsbuchse (Span-
nungsversorgung).

Polarität:
Das Terminal benötigt eine Gleichspannungsversorgung
zwischen +12 bis +24 VDC. Achtung: Verwenden Sie
immer das mitgelieferte Steckernetzgerät. Die Polarität
des Anschlusssteckers weicht vom Standard ab.
Über den DB-9 Stecker kann die EAC 2-Einlesestation direkt an
einen PC angeschlossen werden. Die Kommunikation
erfolgt via RS 232C. Das Buskabel darf dabei max. 15 m
lang sein. Es wird empfohlen, das mitgelieferte, 3 m
lange Verbindungskabel für den PC-Anschluss zu
verwenden.

GENERAL
The EAC 2 Card Reader is a desk device with serial
interface for reading contactless read-only PROXY-
datacarriers. For reading these datacarriers they are put
into the depression of the EAC 2 Card Reader. The infor-
mation can be send to the access EAC2-Software.
CONNECTION
The RS 232C bus and power supply are connected to the
EAC 2 Card Reader on the back of the housing via a DB-9
plug (bus) and a separate source voltage plug (power
supply).

The Terminal must be supplied by a direct voltage
between +12 and +24 VDC. Attention: Always use the
provided plug-in power supply. The polarity of the power
connector differs from the standard.
Via the DB-9 plug the EAC 2 Card Reader can directly be
connected to a PC. The communication takes place via RS 232C.
The max. length of the bus cable is 15 m. It is
recommended to use the supplied connection cable,
which is 3 m in length, for connecting the terminal to a
PC.
