Intended Use
The product is intended to provide the „GX107" (Order No. 199000) with a GPS function; the
product must only be used with this model.
Further information on its use can be found in the manual for the main device „GX107". If this
GPS module is listed as an accessory for another model in the GX series, the device in question
is automatically included in the intended use.
No part of the product may be modified or rebuilt!
Any use other than described above is not permitted and can damage the product. Furthermore,
there are dangers such as fire, short circuit, electric shock etc..
The product complies with the applicable National and European regulations. All names of com-
panies and products are the trademarks of the respective owner. All rights reserved.
The safety instructions are to be observed without fail!

Safety Instructions
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe
these safety instructions! We do not assume any liability for any consequen-
tial damage!
Nor do we assume any liability for material and personal damage caused by
improper use or non-compliance with the safety instructions! The warranty
will be void in such cases.
• The product is not a toy and should be kept out of the reach of children.
• The unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the product is inadmissible because of
safety and approval reasons (CE).
• The product is protected according to IP66, the GPS module is intended for use in unprotect-
ed outdoor areas. Do not use the GPS module in or under water.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. It may become dangerous playing
material for children.
• Please consult the operating instructions for the „GX107". These contain further information on
the use of the GPS module.
Connecting to the „GX107"
• Before making the connection, please remove the power supply and the rechargeable battery
from the main device „GX107".
• Please consult the operating instructions for the „GX107" to ensure that you connect the GPS
receiver to the intended jack.
• The plug for the GPS module and the jack on the „GX107" have reverse voltage protection. Do
not use force when connecting the GPS module to the „GX107".
• It only requires a normal reset to make the GPS module ready for use (no power supply or
reset button).
Attaching the GPS Module
• To attach the GPS module, an inbuilt magnet and a Velcro strip are provided.
• In the case of attachment to metal surfaces by means of the magnet, it is recommended that
additional fixing be used, e.g. cable straps. This applies especially for use with moving objects.
• For attachment to other surfaces, the Velcro provided strip can be used.
• Please observe the correct orientation of the receiver. The GPS label on the GPS module cas-
ing must be in the line of sight with the GPS satellite.
The more free space over the GPS module, the more GPS satellites can be received. This
enhances the accuracy.
Normally, GPS reception inside buildings is not possible. Try to position the GPS module near

a window (however, this must not be metallised insulated glass, this blocks reception). The
cable can be positioned outside. However, please make sure that it does not get squeezed and
damaged.

GPS reception can be expected to be further impaired in the vicinity of buildings, mountains,

trees/forests etc.
When used in vehicles, the GPS module should be placed near a window; however, wires in
front and rear windscreen heating may impair proper reception.
