1 Verwendungsmöglichkeiten
Dieser Körperschallwandler (Exciter) wird auf eine
schwingfähige Fläche geklebt (z. B. Tür, Glasscheibe,
Badewanne, Leichtbauwand, Deckenplatte, Wand-
bild) und an den Lautsprecherausgang eines Audio-
verstärkers angeschlossen. Er versetzt die Fläche in
Schwingungen, die dann als Lautsprecher dient. Der
Wandler ist wasserfest (IP 67) und lässt sich dadurch
auch im Feucht- und Außenbereich verwenden (z. B.
Bad, Terrasse).
2 Wichtige Hinweise für den Gebrauch
Der Wandler entspricht allen relevanten Richtlinien
der EU und ist deshalb mit gekennzeichnet.

Der Wandler ist wasserfest, darf jedoch nicht im
Wasser eingesetzt werden. Schützen Sie ihn vor
extremen Temperaturen (zulässiger Einsatztempe-
raturbereich: 0 – 40 °C).

Verwenden Sie zum Säubern keine aggressiven
Reinigungsmittel oder Chemikalien.

1 Applications
This exciter is glued to a surface capable of vibrating
(e. g. door, glass pane, bathtub, lightweight wall panel,
ceiling panel, wall picture) and connected to the
speaker output of an audio amplifier. It will cause the
surface to vibrate, in turn serving as a speaker. The
exciter is waterproof (IP 67) and thus also suitable for
outdoor use and for wet environments (e. g. bathroom,
patio).
2 Important Notes
The exciter corresponds to all relevant directives of the
EU and is therefore marked with

The exciter is waterproof; however, it must not
be used in water. Protect it against extreme tem-
peratures (admissible ambient temperature range
0 – 40 °C).

For cleaning, never use any aggressive detergents
or chemicals.

No guarantee claims for the exciter and no liability
for any resulting personal damage or material dam-
age will be accepted if the exciter is used for other

Soll der Wandler endgültig aus dem Betrieb
genommen werden, übergeben Sie ihn zur
umweltgerechten Entsorgung einem örtli-
chen Recyclingbetrieb.
3 Installation
1) Den EX-1 mit einer der beiliegenden Klebefolien
auf die gewünschte Fläche kleben. Die optimale
Position ist in der Tabelle 1 und Abb. 2 angegeben.
Bei größeren Flächen können auch bis zu vier
Wandler auf eine Fläche geklebt werden, wie in der
Tabelle 1 und Abb. 2 angegeben. Wird nur ein
EX-1 verwendet, den Wandler auf die Position 1
kleben, bei zwei Wandlern die Positionen 1 und 2
verwenden usw.
Es können auch andere Positionen verwendet
werden, jedoch erzielt man dann nicht den optima-
len Klang und die höchste Lautstärke.
VORSICHT! Die Klebefolie des EX-1 haftet sehr
fest. Nach dem Verkleben kann der Wandler nicht
ohne Weiteres wieder entfernt werden. Zum Ablö-
sen den Wandler niemals am Gehäuse oder am
Anschlusskabel ziehen, er kann dadurch zerstört
werden. Vorsichtig mit einem flachen Messer oder

definitively, take it to a local recycling plant for
a disposal which will not be harmful to the
environment.
3 Installation
1) Glue the EX-1 on the desired surface via one of the
adhesive foils supplied. You will find the optimum
position in table 1 and figure 2. On large surfaces,
up to four exciters may be used as indicated in
table 1 and figure 2. If only a single EX-1 is used,
glue the exciter on position 1; with two exciters, use
positions 1 and 2, etc.
It will also be possible to use different positions;

however, in this case, the optimum sound and the
highest volume will not be reached.
CAUTION! The foil of the EX-1 is highly adhesive.
Once the exciter has been attached, it will not be
easy to remove it. Never pull the housing or the
connection cable to detach the exciter; otherwise
the exciter may be damaged. Carefully separate
the exciter from the mounting surface, using a flat
knife or a thin wire.

Montagefläche und Wandler lösen.
2) Den Verstärker, an den der Wandler angeschlos-
sen werden soll, ausschalten!
3) Die Anschlussleitung des EX-1 mit dem Lautspre-
cherausgang des Verstärkers verbinden. Beim
Anschluss mehrerer Wandlern darauf achten, dass
die Wandler alle gleich gepolt werden (z. B.
schwarze Ader = Minusanschluss) und die zuläs-
sige Anschlussimpedanz des Verstärkerausgangs
nicht unterschritten wird.
4) Den Verstärker einschalten und die gewünschte
Lautstärke einstellen.
VORSICHT! Bei einer Verstärkerausgangsleistung
von über 5 W kann der EX-1 beschädigt werden.

2) Switch off the amplifier to which the exciter is to be
connected!
3) Connect the cable of the EX-1 to the speaker out-
put of the amplifier. When connecting several
exciters, make sure that all exciters have the same
polarity (e. g. black core = negative pole) and that
the value will not fall below the admissible load
impedance of the amplifier output.
4) Switch on the amplifier and adjust the desired vol-
ume.
CAUTION! An amplifier output power exceeding
5 W may damage the EX-1.
