1 Einsatzmöglichkeiten
Dieses Farbkameramodul mit 2fachem Digitalzoom, auto-
matischem elektronischen Verschluss, Gegenlichtkom-
pensation, automatischer Verstärkungsregelung (AGC)
sowie manuellem und automatischem Weißabgleich ist
speziell zur Video-Überwachung konzipiert. Die geringen
Abmessungen ermöglichen auch die Verwendung als Tür-
spion. Die Bilddarstellung auf dem Monitor kann wahlwei-
se spiegelverkehrt erfolgen, was besonders hilfreich beim
Einsatz als KFZ-Einparkhilfe ist.
Bei dem Modell TVCCD-32MCOL lässt sich bei Bedarf
das 3,7-mm-Objektiv durch ein Objektiv mit einer anderen
Brennweite aus dem Sortiment von MONACOR aus-
wechseln:

2 Wichtige Hinweise zur Montage
Das Modul ist nach der EMV-Richtlinie 89/336/EWG
(EMV = Elektromagnetische Verträglichkeit) aufgebaut.
Damit es auch im Betrieb diese Richtlinie erfüllt, muss
es in ein abgeschirmtes Gehäuse eingesetzt und der
Videoausgang über eine abgeschirmte Leitung ange-
schlossen werden. Wird die EMV-Richtlinie nicht einge-
halten, erlischt die Konformitätserklärung.
Schützen Sie das Modul vor Feuchtigkeit und Hitze
(zulässiger Einsatztemperaturbereich 0 – 40 °C).
Schützen Sie die Linsen des Objektivs unbedingt vor
Staub und sonstiger Verschmutzung. Berühren Sie sie
auf gar keinen Fall mit den Fingern.

1 Applications
This colour camera module with double digital zoom, auto-
matic electronic shutter, backlight compensation, automa-
tic gain control (AGC), and both manual and automatic
white balance is specially designed for video monitoring.
Due to its small size it can also be used as a door spy.
There is an optional mirror-inverted picture display on the
monitor which is most helpful when the module is used as
a parking aid for cars.
For model TVCCD-32MCOL, the 3.7 mm lens can be
exchanged for a lens with a different focal length from the
MONACOR range, if required:

2 Important Notes for Mounting
The module is designed according to the directive for
electromagnetic compatibility 89/336/EEC. In order to
meet the requirements of this directive also during oper-
ation, it must be inserted into a screened housing and
the video output must be connected via a screened
cable. If the EMC directive is not observed, the declara-
tion of conformity is invalid.
Protect the module against humidity and heat (admissi-
ble ambient temperature range 0 – 40 °C).
It is essential to protect the lenses of the lens assembly
against dust and other impurities. Never touch them
with your fingers.

3 Anschluss des Kameramoduls
1) Das Modul über die Buchse JP2 anschließen:

Den Videoausgang über ein 75-Ω-Koaxialkabel mit
dem Videoeingang eines Monitors verbinden: Den

kabels anschließen.
Ein stabilisiertes 12-V-Netzgerät (z. B. PS-500ST von
MONACOR) mit dem roten (+12 V) und schwarzen Draht
(Masse) verbinden. Dabei auf die richtige Polung achten.
2) Über die Buchse JP1 lassen sich die folgenden Funk-
tionen auswählen. Dazu den entsprechenden Pin bzw.
Draht mit Masse (Pin 5/gelb) verbinden – nicht mit
+12 V, das Modul wird sonst beschädigt!

3 Connection of the Camera Module
1) Connect the module via the jack JP2:

Connect the video output to the video input of a moni-

tor via a 75 Ω coaxial cable: Connect the white wire to

the cable core and the black wire to the screening of
the coaxial cable.
Connect a regulated 12 V power supply unit (e. g.
MONACOR PS-500ST) to the red (+12 V) and black
wire (ground). Observe the correct polarity.
2) Via the jack JP1, the following functions can be se-
lected. For this purpose, connect the corresponding pin
or wire to ground (pin 5/yellow) – do not connect it to
+12 V, otherwise the module will be damaged!

4 Inbetriebnahme
Nach dem Videoanschluss und dem Anlegen der 12-V-
Versorgungsspannung ist das Modul betriebsbereit. Die

4 Setting into Operation
After video connection and after applying the 12 V power
supply, the module is ready for operation. Remove the
lens cover and precisely adjust the module to the monitor-
ing area. If the object to be monitored is not in focus, adjust

Für den manuellen Weißabgleich vor dem Verbinden
der Pins 2 und 5 ein weißes Blatt Papier vor die Kame-
ra halten. Dann die Pins 2 und 5 verbinden und das Blatt
Papier wieder entfernen. Der ermittelte Weißwert bleibt
so lange gespeichert, wie die Pins verbunden sind.

in front of the camera prior to connecting pins 2 and 5.
Then connect pins 2 and 5 and remove the sheet of
paper. The determined white level is kept memorized
as long as the pins are connected.
