1 Einsatzmöglichkeiten
Dieses Schaltnetzgerät mit umschaltbarer Ausgangs-
spannung dient zur Gleichstromversorgung von elek-
trischen Kleinspannungsgeräten wie z. B. tragbare CD-
oder Kassetten-Player. Für den Einsatz im Ausland ist
es mit austauschbaren Netzstecker-Adaptern ausge-
stattet. Das Gerät ist kurzschlussfest und gegen Über-
last und Überhitzung geschützt.
2 Hinweise für den sicheren Gebrauch
Das Gerät entspricht der Richtlinie für elektromagneti-
sche Verträglichkeit 89/336/EWG und der Niederspan-
nungsrichtlinie 73/23/EWG.
Achtung!
Das Gerät wird mit lebensgefährlicher Netzspannung
versorgt. Nehmen Sie deshalb niemals selbst Eingriffe
im Gerät vor. Durch unsachgemäßes Vorgehen be-
steht die Gefahr eines elektrischen Schlages. Außer-
dem erlischt beim Öffnen des Geräts jeglicher Ga-
rantieanspruch.
Verwenden Sie das Gerät nur im Innenbereich. Schüt-
zen Sie es vor Tropf- und Spritzwasser, hoher Luft-
feuchtigkeit und Hitze (zulässiger Einsatztemperatur-
bereich 0 – 40 °C).
Nehmen Sie das Netzgerät nicht in Betrieb bzw. zie-
hen Sie es sofort aus der Steckdose, wenn:
1. sichtbare Schäden am Gerät vorhanden sind,
2. nach einem Sturz oder Ähnlichem der Verdacht auf
einen Defekt besteht,

1 Applications
This switch mode power supply unit with switchable out-
put voltage serves for direct current supply of electric
low-voltage units, e. g. portable CD players or cassette
players. For the use abroad it is equipped with exchange-
able mains plug adapters. The unit is short circuit-proof
and protected against overload and overheating.
2 Safety Notes
The unit corresponds to the directive for electromagnet-
ic compatibility 89/336/EEC and to the low voltage
directive 73/23/EEC.
Attention!
The unit is supplied with hazardous mains voltage.
Leave servicing to skilled personnel only. Inexpert
handling may cause an electric shock hazard. Further-
more, any guarantee claim will expire if the unit has
been opened.
The unit is suitable for indoor use only. Protect it
against dripping water and splash water, high air
humidity, and heat (admissible ambient temperature
range 0 – 40 °C).
Do not operate the power supply unit or immediately
disconnect it from the mains socket
1. if there is visible damage to the unit,
2. if a defect might have occurred after the unit was
dropped or suffered a similar accident,
3. if malfunctions occur.
In any case the unit must be repaired by skilled per-
sonnel.

3. Funktionsstörungen auftreten.
Geben Sie das Gerät in jedem Fall zur Reparatur in
eine Fachwerkstatt.
Verwenden Sie zum Reinigen nur ein trockenes, wei-
ches Tuch, niemals Wasser oder Chemikalien.
Wird das Gerät zweckentfremdet, nicht richtig an-
geschlossen, überlastet oder nicht fachgerecht repa-
riert, kann keine Haftung für daraus resultierende
Sach- oder Personenschäden und keine Garantie für
das Gerät übernommen werden.
Soll das Gerät endgültig aus dem Betrieb genommen
werden, übergeben Sie es zur umweltgerechten Ent-
sorgung einem örtlichen Recyclingbetrieb.
3 Inbetriebnahme
Das Netzgerät nicht überlasten: Die Stromaufnahme
des angeschlossenen Kleinspannungsgeräts darf 1,2 A
nicht überschreiten.
1) Die benötigte Betriebsspannung für das Kleinspan-
nungsgerät einstellen: Mit dem beiliegenden Einstell-
schlüssel den gelben Spannungswahlschalter auf
den erforderlichen Spannungswert drehen.
2) Aus den beiliegenden 7 Kleinspannungssteckern
den für das Kleinspannungsgerät passenden aus-
wählen und in die Kupplung des Netzgerätkabels
stecken. Dabei unbedingt die für das Kleinspan-
nungsgerät erforderliche Polarität beachten. Zum
Bestimmen der Polarität die Kupplung immer so dre-
hen, dass die Pfeile von Kupplung und Stecker auf-
einander zeigen (siehe Abbildungen unten).
3) Das Netzgerät über den Kleinspannungsstecker mit
dem Stromversorgungsanschluss des Kleinspan-
nungsgeräts verbinden.

accepted if the unit is used for other purposes than
originally intended, if it is not correctly connected, if it
is overloaded, or not repaired in an expert way.
If the unit is to be put out of operation definitively, take
it to a local recycling plant for a disposal which is not
harmful to the environment.
3 Operation
Do not overload the power supply unit: The current con-
sumption of the low-voltage unit connected must not
exceed 1.2 A.
1) Adjust the required operating voltage for the low-volt-
age unit: Use the supplied adjusting key to set the
yellow voltage selector switch to the required voltage
value.
2) Select the matching plug for the low-voltage unit from
the 7 low-voltage plugs supplied and connect it to the
inline jack of the cable of the power supply unit. In
any case observe the required polarity for the low-
voltage unit. To determine the polarity, always turn
the inline jack in such a way that the arrows of inline
jack and plug face each other (see figures below).
3) Connect the power supply unit via the low-voltage
plug to the power supply connection of the low-volt-
age unit.
4) Select the matching plug from the 4 mains plug
adapters for the respective country (the continent of
Europe, Great Britain, USA / Japan, Australia), con-
nect it to the jack on the power supply unit and have
it locked into place.

4) Aus den 4 Netzstecker-Adaptern den passenden für
das jeweilige Land (Kontinentaleuropa, Großbritanni-
en, USA/Japan, Australien) auswählen, in die Buch-
se am Netzgerät stecken und einrasten lassen.
Um den eingesteckten Adapter wieder abzuneh-
men und gegen einen anderen auszutauschen, die
darunter liegende Entriegelungstaste in Pfeilrichtung
nach oben schieben. Der Adapter rastet dann aus
und kann entnommen werden.
5) Zum Schluss das Netzgerät in eine Steckdose
(100 – 240 V~, 50/60 Hz) stecken. Die LED am Gerät
leuchtet im Betrieb rot.
Auch wenn das angeschlossene Gerät ausgeschaltet
ist, verbraucht das Netzgerät einen geringen Strom. Da-
rum sollte es aus der Steckdose gezogen werden, wenn
es längere Zeit nicht gebraucht wird.

To remove the plug-in adapter and exchange it
against another one, slide the unlocking button locat-
ed below upwards in the direction of the arrow. Then
the adapter will be released and can be removed.
5) Finally connect the power supply unit to a mains
socket (100 – 240 V~, 50/60 Hz). The LED on the unit
shows red during operation.
Even with the unit connected switched off, the power
supply unit has a low current consumption. Therefore, it
is recommended to disconnect it from the mains socket
if it is not used for a longer period.
