Verwendungsmöglichkeiten
Dieser 2kanalige Eingangsbaustein mit elektronisch
symmetrierten Eingängen dient zur Ansteuerung von
Leistungsendstufen. Der Baustein ist als Lautstärke-
Einsteller für Stereo-/2-Kanal-Linesignale ausgelegt.
Die Lautstärke läßt sich für jeden Kanal mit einer
Gleichspannung einstellen. Für eine gemeinsame
Einstellung wird ein Tandem-Potentiometer benötigt.
Das Modul kann somit auch als Fernregler für Laut-
stärke und Balance nachfolgender Endstufen einsetzt
werden.

Sicherheitshinweise
•
Der Baustein ist nach der EMV-Richtlinie 89/336/
EWG aufgebaut (EMV = Elektromagnetische Ver-
träglichkeit). Damit der Baustein auch im Betrieb
diese Richtlinie erfüllt, muß er in ein abgeschirmtes
Gehäuse eingesetzt und die Ausgänge über abge-
schirmte Leitungen angeschlossen werden. Wird
die EMV-Richtlinie nicht eingehalten, erlischt die
Konformitätserklärung.

Alle Teile, an denen nichtisoliert eine Spannung von
mehr als 42 V anliegt, müssen einen Abstand von
mindestens 8 mm zu einem Metallgehäuse haben.
•
Schützen Sie den Baustein vor Feuchtigkeit und Hitze
(zulässiger Einsatztemperaturbereich 0-40°C).

Applications
This 2-channel input module with electronically
balanced inputs serves for driving of power amplifiers.
The module is designed as a volume control for
stereo/2-channel line signals. The volume can be
adjusted for each channel with a DC voltage. For a
common adjustment a dual-potentiometer is neces-
sary. Thus the module can also be used as a remote
control for volume and balance of following power
amplifiers.

Safety Notes
•
The module has been constructed according to the
EMC directive 89/336/EEC (EMC = electromag-
netic compatibility). To conform to this directive also
while in operation, the module must be placed in a
shielded housing and the outputs must be connect-
ed via shielded cables. If the EMC directive is not
complied with, the declaration of conformity does
no longer apply.

All parts which carry a voltage of more than 42 V
without being insulated must have a distance of at
least 8 mm to a metal housing.
•
Avoid excessively warm locations for the module or
high humidity (permissible operating temperature
range 0-40°C).

Anschlüsse
Im beiliegenden Lage-/Anschlußplan sind alle An-
schlüsse angegeben.
Betriebsspannungen
Es werden zwei Spannungen benötigt, jeweils mit
100 mA belastbar:
+15 V an den Anschlußstift RTM 5 anschließen und
die Masse dieser Spannung an RTM 6.
-15 V an den Anschlußstift RTM 7 anschließen und
die Masse dieser Spannung an RTM 6.
Audio-Ausgänge
Die Audio-Ausgänge (Anschlußstifte RTM 1 und
RTM 2) über abgeschirmte Kabel mit den Eingängen
der nachfolgenden Leistungsendstufen verbinden.
Ausgänge für die Eingangssignal-Erkennung
An die beiden Stifte der Anschlußleiste CON 201 je
eine LED anschließen (Anode zur Anschlußleiste,
Kathode an Masse).
Lautstärkeregler
Für eine getrennte Lautstärkeeinstellung der Kanäle
werden zwei Potentiometer (100 kΩ, log.) benötigt,
für eine gemeinsame Einstellung ist ein Tandem-
Potentiometer (2 x 100 kΩ, log.) erforderlich. Die
Potentiometer zwischen die Betriebsspannung +15 V
und Masse schalten. Die Schleifer jeweils mit den
Stiften der Anschlußleiste CON 200 verbinden.
Stummschaltung
Für die Stummschaltung (Anschlußstifte RTM 3 und
RTM 4) sind je Kanal zusätzlich zwei Widerstände

Connections
The enclosed diagram shows all connections.
Operating voltages
Two voltages are necessary, each with a rating of
100 mA:
Connect +15 V to pin RTM 5 and the ground of this
voltage to RTM 6.
Connect -15 V to pin RTM 7 and the ground of this
voltage to RTM 6.
Audio outputs
Connect the audio outputs (pins RTM 1 and RTM 2)
via shielded cables with the inputs of the following
power amplifiers.
Outputs for the input signal recognition
Connect an LED each to both pins of the connection
bar CON 201 (anode to the connection bar, cathode to
ground).
Volume control
For individual volume adjustment of the channels two
potentiometers (100 kΩ, log.) are necessary, for a
common adjustment a dual-potentiometer (2 x
100 kΩ, log.) is necessary. Insert the potentiometers
between the operating voltage +15 V and ground.
Connect the sliders with one pin each of the connec-
tion bar CON 200.
Muting
For the muting (pins RTM 3 and RTM 4) two resistors
and one electrolytic capacitor are additionally neces-
sary for each channel (see diagram). As soon as the
operating voltage -15 V to the 3.32 kΩ resistor is
und ein Elko erforderlich (siehe Anschlußplan).
Sobald die Betriebsspannung -15 V zum 3,32-kΩ-
Widerstand unterbrochen wird (z. B. durch einen
Transistor oder Öffner), ist der entsprechende Aus-
gang stummgeschaltet.
Wird die Stummschaltung nicht benötigt, müssen
die beiden Anschlußstifte RTM 3 und RTM 4 mit der
Betriebsspannung -15 V verbunden werden.
Inbetriebnahme
1) Vor dem Einschalten die angeschlossenen Laut-
stärkeregler auf Minimum drehen.
2) Bei Bedarf die Low Cut-Filter einschalten: Die
Schalter SW 1 und SW 101 nach rechts schieben.
Frequenzen unter 25 Hz werden dann abgesenkt.
3) Über die Eingangsbuchsen ein Signal einspeisen.
4) Ist das Eingangssignal größer als -30 dB, spricht
die Eingangssignal-Erkennung an. Die an der Stift-
leiste CON 201 angeschlossenen LEDs leuchten.
Mit den Trimmpotis TR 1 und TR 101 kann die An-
sprechschwelle von -33 dB bis -8 dB verändert
werden.

with action), the corresponding output is muted.
If the muting is not necessary, both pins RTM 3 and
RTM 4 must be connected with the operating voltage
-15 V.
Setting into Operation
1) Prior to switching on, set the connected volume
controls to minimum.
2) If necessary, switch on the low cut filters: Slide the
switches SW 1 and SW 101 to the right. Then fre-
quencies below 25 Hz are attenuated.
3) Feed in a signal via the input jacks.
4) If the input signal exceeds -30 dB, the input signal
recognition responds. The LEDs connected to the
pin bar CON 201 are lighting. With the trim poten-
tiometers TR 1 and TR 101 the responding thresh-
old can be changed from -33 dB up to -8 dB.
