Alarm horn
Item-No. 75 21 00
Intended Use
This product generates a loud sound when switched on (100Hz, 80dB/1m) that can be
uses for signalising certain events in a workshop or a production-area (for example for
break signals, warning signals, etc.)
The sound is made when connected to the supply voltage (230V~/50Hz) (activation for
example controlled externally, a relay, etc).
This product complies with the applicable national and European specifications. All com-
pany names and product designations contained herein are trademarks of the respective

Safety Instructions
Warranty void if there is damage caused by ignoring these operating
instructions! We assume no liability for consequential damage!
We assume no liability for damage to property or persons caused by
improper use or by ignoring the safety instructions! Under these cir-
cumstances, any warranty expires.
• The unauthorized conversion and/or modification of the product is inadmis-
sible due to safety and approval reasons (CE). Never dismantle this product!
• The structure of the product complies with safety class II. The product can
only be operated with a supply voltage of 230V~/50Hz.
• When connected work can be carried out at the supply voltage. If you are not
an expert who is able to make this connection and installation, you should let
a specialist (electrician) do this for you. With improper work at the supply vol-
tage, you not only endanger yourself but also others - danger through an
electric shock!
• The product is not a toy and should be kept out of reach of children. Install
the product so that it cannot be reached by children.
• Do not leave the packaging material lying around carelessly since this may
become a dangerous toy for children.
• Make sure the insulation of the whole product is neither damaged nor
destroyed.
• The product is not allowed to be exposed to extreme temperatures (< -10°C
or > +50°C), direct sunlight, vibrations or dampness.
The product can only be used in dry interiors, it cannot become damp or wet,
danger through an electric shock!
• The product should not be used in immediate surrounding of a bath, a pool
or a shower.
• Never install the product in areas where there is a danger of explosion or high
dust exposure.
• The product cannot be exposed to mechanical strain.
• Don't use the product in tropical climate but only in moderate climate.
• Never connect the charger to the mains voltage immediately after taking it
from a cold room into a warm room.
Wait until the product reached room temperature, before connecting it.
Otherwise danger to life through an electric shock!
• In industrial facilities the accident prevention regulations of the association of
the industrial Accident Prevention & Insurance Association have to be take
note of for electric installations and equipment.
• In schools, training facilities, hobby and self-help-workshops, the operation
of electric appliances is to be supervising by trained personnel.
• Handle the product with care. The product is damaged when crushed, hit or
dropped, even from a small height.

A fixation hole for installation (total: 3x)
B cable lead through with strain-relief
C screw cap, top half casing with hole for the sound,
D Lower half casing
Installation and connection
• Install the signal-horn with the three fixation holes (A) on a surface that is suitable for it .
Make sure that no cables, electric leads, gas or water pipes are damages
when drilling or screwing!
Do not tighten the screws forcibly otherwise the casing of the signal-horn is
damaged. The screws should not be screwed too loosely as they can come off
through vibrations.
• The screw cap (C) is to be unscrewed anti-clockwise from the lower casing-half (D).
• The two red cables are to be connected through a bipolar screw clamp (not included in
delivery) to the supply voltage (the allocation of the two red cables to „N" or „L" is unim-
portant).
As a connection cable, a plastic cable is to be used 3 x 0,75mm
The earth conductor/protection contact (yellow/green wire) is not needed. The wire-end
is to be secured with insulating tape or with another single-pole screw clamp.
Attention!
When connected work can be carried out at the supply voltage. If you are not
an expert who is able to make this connection and installation, you should let
a specialist (electrician) do this for you. With improper work at the supply vol-
tage, you not only endanger yourself but also others - danger through an elec-
tric shock!
Before the product is installed and connected you have to switch it off at the
control that causes the signal-horn to go on; secure it against unintended ope-
ration (for example with warnings).
Danger to life through an electric shock!

Install the screw clamp into the inside so that it does not touch the steelplate
of the screw cap (C); the same applies to the cables. Or the sound release is
disturbed (only a clatter or similar can be heard).
Use a small screw clamp.
• The power cord is to be led across the cable bushing (B) into the casing, a strain-relief is
already there.
• Place the power cord on the outside according to current safety regulations; dependent
on the usage site. Use e.g. plastic cables, where the power cord can be fixed.
Attention!
If the signal-horn is installed freely accessible, an expert must make sure that
the screw cap (C) cannot be opened without using a tool.
Or parts are exposed after removing the screw cap and the supply voltage there
is a danger through an electric shock!
If necessary, e.g. a plastic screw can be screwed on one side into the cover or
the screw cap is to be pasted over.
• If it is connected to the supply voltage, the signal-horn makes a loud sound.
Handling
• Pay attention to all safety instructions and information about installation, ope-
ration and handling included in this instruction manual!
• The product can only be used when the housing cover is fixed and fully in-
C
stalled.
• The maximum switched on time is 10 minutes. The signal-horn must cool
down for at least 10 minutes after that.
If this is not respected, the inductor in the signal-horn overheats. Not only the
signal-horn is damaged, but there is also danger of fire.
• The high volume (acoustic pressure 80dB/1m) can lead to hearing damages
D
if the product is placed close to persons.
• The device must only be operated in dry indoor areas. The product must not
A
get damp or wet as this would damage it; danger of a fatal electric shock!
• Make sure that the cables are not folded or squeezed and that there is no
chort-circuit when installing this product.
• The following unfavourable conditions are to be avoided at the location of the
device or during transport:
- wetness or too high air humidity
- extreme coldness (<-10°C) or heat (> +50°C), direct sunlight
- dust or flammable gases, fumes or solvents
- strong vibrations, shocks, impacts
- strong magnetic fields such as near machines or loudspeakers
• Never use the product immediately after it has been brought from a cold into
a warm room. Condensation that forms might destroy your device. There is
danger of a life-threatening electric shock!
Leave the product switched off and wait until it has reached room tempera-
ture. This can sometimes take several hours.
• Safe operation must be presumed to be no longer possible, if
- the device exhibits visible damage,
- the device does not operate any longer and
- the device was stored under unfavourable conditions for a long period of
2
(H03W-F/NYLHY-J).
time or
- the device was exposed to extraordinary stress caused by transport.
• Any maintenance or repair work may be performed by authorised personnel
only.
Maintenance and Cleaning
The product does not require maintenance!
A clean, dry, soft cloth can be used for cleaning.
Dust can very simply be removed with a soft, clean brush and a vacuum cleaner.
