Explanation of symbols
A lightning-bolt symbol in a triangle indicates a health hazard, e.g. danger of electric
shock.
The exclamation mark in a triangle indicates a particular risk during handling, opera-
tion and control.
The "Hand" symbol indicates special tips and operating information.
Safety instructions
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe
these safety instructions! We do not assume any liability for any consequen-
tial damage!
We do not assume any liability for personal injury or damage to property caused
by incorrect handling or non-observance of the safety instructions. The warran-
ty will be null and void in such cases.
• The product must not be modified or converted, as not only the CE approval will
become void but so will the warranty.
• The product must not be exposed to extreme temperatures, strong vibrations,
humidity or heavy mechanical stress.
• When the product is taken from a cold to a warm room (e.g. during transport), con-
densation may be produced. This could damage the product. There is also the
danger of a fatal electric shock! Therefore, you should allow the product to warm
up to room temperature before use or connecting the power supply to an electrical
socket. This may take several hours.
• Electronic devices are not toys and should be kept out of the reach of children!
• Please contact a qualified personnel if you are unsure about the safety or the cor-
rect use of the product.
• Never leave the packaging material lying around unattended. Plastic films /
bags etc. can be dangerous playthings for children, there is a risk of suffocation.
• If you have reason to assume that safe operation is no longer possible, disconnect
the device immediately and secure it against inadvertent operation.
• The product is intended for use in dry interiors, it must not get damp or wet. This
could not only destroy the product but it also presents a mortal hazard through an
electric shock!
• Handle the product with care, it can be damaged by impacts, blows, or accidental
drops, even from a low height.
• Never place any containers containing liquids, such as buckets, vases or plants, in
the direct vicinity of the product. Liquids may seep into the casing and thus impair
the electrical safety of the device. Furthermore, there is a significant risk of fire or
of a lethal electric shock! In such an event, isolate the mains socket, to which the
product is connected (e.g. switch off the automatic fuse), and unplug the wall plug
transformer from the socket. Afterwards, the product can no longer be used; take
it to a specialist workshop.
• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the Employer's
Liability Insurance Association for Electrical Systems and Operating Materials are
to be observed.
• Do not cascade the product (do not connect several extension sockets one after
the other).
• Only use a standard power socket (with protective earth wire) connected to the public
power supply (230V~/50Hz) to power the product.
• Never plug in or unplug the product with damp or wet hands.
• Maintenance, adjustment and repair may only be carried out by a qualified specia-
