Mounting the FU-1000 to the XL1S

¡ First, remove the microphone
from the XL1S's color
viewfinder.
Remove the XL1S's

color viewfinder.
q Disconnect the viewfinder cable
( A ).
w Loosen the knob on the XL1S
and slide the viewfinder off ( B ).
Mount the FU-1000.

¡ Slide the FU-1000 onto the
XL1S's mounting unit and
tighten the knob ( C ).
Attach the battery

adapter to the XL1S's
power source
attachment unit.
q Align the adapter with the line on
the XL1S and slide it up until it
clicks into place ( D ).
¡ To remove the adapter, press
and hold the XL1S's BATT.
RELEASE button while
sliding the adapter down.
w Connect the FU-1000 to the
adapter with the viewfinder
cable ( E ).
e Connect the adapter to the
XL1S with the battery adapter
cable ( E ).
r Join the two cables with the
cable clip ( E ).
¡ Twist both ends of the clip to
secure.
