1. Power LED: Red light; appears when the adapter is
supplied with power
2. HDD LED: Flashing green light; fl ashes during fi le
transfer and when reading or writing data
3. Ports
Front:
IDE port for connecting an ATA (IDE) hard disk or
connecting to the ATA (IDE) port on the mainboard.

4. Power adapter cable
The included power adapter cable makes it possible to si-
multaneously supply both the adapter and the connected
hard disk with power.
(1) 5.25" socket to be connected to the PC power
supply unit
(2) 3.5" plug to be connected to the SATA-IDE converter
(3) 5.25" plug to be connected to an ATA (IDE) hard disk
(4) SATA plug to be connected to an SATA hard disk
To supply the SATA-IDE adapter with power:
Make sure that the PC is shut down and not connected to
the mains supply.
Connect the 5.25" socket on the included power adapter
cable to a free 5.25" plug on the PC power supply unit.
