Einsatzmöglichkeiten
Das stabilisierte Netzgerät PS-128A dient zur Stromver-
sorgung von elektronischen Kleingeräten mit einem
Stromverbrauch von maximal 300 mA (z. B. Taschen-
rechner, tragbares Radio etc.). Die Ausgangsspannung
lässt sich zwischen 7,5 V, 9 V und 12 V umschalten.
Hinweise für den sicheren Gebrauch
Dieses Gerät entspricht der Richtlinie 89/336/EWG für
elektromagnetische Verträglichkeit und der Niederspan-
nungsrichtlinie 73/23/EWG.
Achtung!
Das Netzgerät wird mit lebensgefährlicher Netzspan-
nung (230 V~) versorgt. Nehmen Sie deshalb niemals
selbst Eingriffe im Gerät vor. Durch unsachgemäßes
Vorgehen besteht die Gefahr eines elektrischen Schla-
ges. Außerdem erlischt beim Öffnen des Gerätes jeg-
licher Garantieanspruch.
Verwenden Sie das Gerät nur im Innenbereich. Schüt-
zen Sie es vor Tropf- und Spritzwasser, hoher Luft-
feuchtigkeit und Hitze (zulässiger Einsatztemperatur-
bereich 0 – 40 °C).
Nehmen Sie das Netzgerät nicht in Betrieb bzw. zie-
hen Sie es sofort aus der Steckdose, wenn:
1. sichtbare Schäden am Netzgerät oder an der An-
schlussleitung vorhanden sind,
2. nach einem Sturz oder Ähnlichem der Verdacht auf
einen Defekt besteht,

Applications
The regulated power supply unit PS-128A serves for
power supply of small electronic units with a maximum
current consumption of 300 mA (e. g. pocket calculator,
portable radio, etc.). The output voltage can be selected:
7.5 V, 9 V, or 12 V.
Safety Notes
This unit corresponds to the directive for electromag-
netic compatibility 89/336/EEC and to the low voltage
directive 73/23/EEC.
Attention!
The power supply unit is supplied with hazardous
mains voltage (230 V~). Leave servicing to skilled per-
sonnel only. Inexpert handling may cause an electric
shock hazard. Furthermore, any guarantee claim will
expire if the unit has been opened.
The unit is suitable for indoor use only. Protect it
against dripping water and splash water, high air
humidity and heat (admissible ambient temperature
range 0 – 40 °C).
Do not operate the power supply unit or immediately
disconnect it from the mains socket
1. if there is visible damage to the power supply unit
or to the mains cable,
2. if a defect might have occurred after the unit was
dropped or suffered a similar accident,

3. Funktionsstörungen auftreten.
Geben Sie das Gerät in jedem Fall zur Reparatur in
eine Fachwerkstatt.
Verwenden Sie für die Reinigung nur ein trockenes,
weiches Tuch, auf keinen Fall Wasser oder Chemi-
kalien.
Wird das Gerät zweckentfremdet, nicht richtig an-
geschlossen, überlastet oder nicht fachgerecht repa-
riert, kann für eventuelle Schäden keine Haftung
übernommen werden.
Soll das Gerät endgültig aus dem Betrieb genommen
werden, übergeben Sie es zur umweltgerechten Ent-
sorgung einem örtlichen Recyclingbetrieb.
Inbetriebnahme
1) Die benötigte Betriebsspannung* für das anzu-
schließende Gerät feststellen (siehe Beschriftung
der Anschlussbuchse am Gerät oder Spannungsan-
gabe in der Bedienungsanleitung) und mit dem
Schiebeschalter VOLT.SW. (1) einstellen.
2) Die erforderliche Polarität* der Betriebsspannung
ermitteln und mit dem Schiebeschalter POLARITY
(3) einstellen. Siehe dazu die unten stehende Tabel-
le und die Abbildung.
3) Den für das Gerät passenden Stecker feststellen und
in die Anschlussbuchse des Gerätes stecken:
a = 5,5/2,5 mm (Außen-/Innnendurchmesser)
b = 5,0/2,1 mm
c = 3,5-mm-Klinke
d = 3,5/1,3 mm
e = Druckknopfkontakte
3. if malfunctions occur.
In any case the unit must be repaired by skilled per-
sonnel.
For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth, by no means
chemicals or water.
If the unit is used for other purposes than originally
intended, if it is not correctly connected, overloaded or
not repaired in an expert way, no liability for any dam-
age will be accepted.
If the unit is to be put out of operation definitively, take
it to a local recycling plant for a disposal which is not
harmful to the environment.
Operation
1) Determine the required operating voltage* for the
unit to be connected (see marking on the jack of the
unit or voltage value in the operating instruction)
and adjust it with the voltage selector switch
VOLT.SW. (1).
2) Determine the required polarity* of the operating volt-
age and adjust it with the polarity selector switch
POLARITY (3). See table and figure below.
3) Determine the suitable plug for the unit and connect
it to the jack on the unit:
a = 5.5/2.5 mm (outside/inside diameter)
b = 5.0/2.1 mm
c = 3.5 mm jack
d = 3.5/1.3 mm

Vorsicht!
Die Druckknopfkontakte (e) nicht versehentlich
kurzschließen (bei Metallberührung). Das Netz-
gerät kann beschädigt werden.
Das Netzgerät nicht überlasten (maximaler Strom =
300 mA). Anderenfalls unterbricht die interne Ther-
mosicherung den Strom. Diese Sicherung lässt sich
nicht ersetzen. Das Gerät wird dadurch unbrauch-
bar und die Garantie erlischt.
4) Zuletzt das Netzgerät in eine Steckdose (230 V~/
50 Hz) stecken. Die rote Anzeige (2) leuchtet.
5) Auch wenn das angeschlossene Gerät ausgeschal-
tet ist, verbraucht das Netzgerät einen geringen
Strom. Darum sollte es aus der Steckdose gezogen
werden, wenn es längere Zeit nicht gebraucht wird.

* Bei einer falschen Einstellung der Betriebsspannung oder
Polarität können sowohl das Netzgerät als auch das ange-
schlossene Gerät beschädigt werden.
Caution!
Do not short-circuit the snap-on contacts (e) acci-
dentally (in case of contact with metal), otherwise
the power supply unit may be damaged.
Do not overload the power supply unit (maximum
current = 300 mA), otherwise the internal tempera-
ture fuse will interrupt the current. This fuse cannot
be replaced. In this case, the unit will be useless
and the guarantee will expire.
4) Finally connect the power supply unit to a mains
socket (230 V~/50 Hz). The red LED (2) lights up.
5) Even with the connected unit switched off, the power
supply unit has a low current consumption. There-
fore, disconnect it from the mains socket if it is not
used for a longer period.
