lation gründlich durch und heben Sie sie für ein späteres
Nachlesen auf.
1 Einsatzmöglichkeiten
Die Alarmeinheit SAG-2 ist eine Kombination aus
zwei Piezo-Summern und einer Blitzlampe. Sie wird in
Alarmanlagen als akustischer und optischer Innen-
alarmgeber eingesetzt.
2 Wichtige Hinweise für den Gebrauch
Das Gerät entspricht der EU-Richtlinie für elektromag-
netische Verträglichkeit 89/336/EWG.
Verwenden Sie das Gerät nur im Innenbereich und
schützen Sie es vor Feuchtigkeit und Hitze (zulässiger
Einsatztemperaturbereich 0 – 40 °C).
Verwenden Sie für die Reinigung nur ein trockenes,
weiches Tuch, niemals Chemikalien oder Wasser.
Wird das Gerät zweckentfremdet, nicht richtig mon-
tiert, falsch angeschlossen oder nicht fachgerecht re-
pariert, kann keine Haftung für daraus resultierende
Sach- oder Personenschäden und keine Garantie für
das Gerät übernommen werden.
Soll das Gerät endgültig aus dem Betrieb
genommen werden, übergeben Sie es zur
umweltfreundlichen Entsorgung einem ört-
lichen Recyclingbetrieb.
3 Inbetriebnahme
1) Das Gehäuse fest halten und den Sockel kräftig ge-
gen den Uhrzeigersinn drehen, so dass die vier Hal-
terungen (b) ausrasten und der Sockel sich vom Ge-
häuse abnehmen lässt (siehe Abb. 1).
2) Für einen Kabeldurchlass kann bei Bedarf an einer
der vier Sockelkanten das Material an der vorge-

1 Applications
The alarm unit SAG-2 is a combination of two piezo buz-
zers and a strobe lamp. It is used as an audible and
visual internal alarm device in alarm systems.
2 Important Notes
This unit corresponds to the directive for electromag-
netic compatibility 89/336/EEC.
The unit is suitable for indoor use only. Protect it
against humidity and heat (admissible ambient tem-
perature range 0 – 40 °C).
For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth; never use water
or chemicals.
No guarantee claims for the unit and no liability for any
resulting personal damage or material damage will be
accepted if the unit is used for other purposes than
originally intended, if it is not correctly installed or
connected, or not repaired in an expert way.
If the unit is to be put out of operation defini-
tively, take it to a local recycling plant for a
disposal which is not harmful to the environ-
ment.
3 Operation
1) Hold the housing tightly and turn the base counter-
clockwise in a powerful movement so that the four
latching parts (b) will unlock and allow removal of the
base from the housing (see fig. 1).
2) If required, make a hole for a cable inlet by removing
the predetermined break-off section (a) at one of the
four edges of the base.

3) Die von der Alarmzentrale kommenden Kabel von hin-
ten durch die Öffnung des Sockels führen und den
Sockel mit vier Schrauben über die vier inneren oder
die vier äußeren Montagelöcher an der Wand befesti-
gen. Den Sockel dabei so herum anbringen, dass spä-
ter bei der Montage des Gehäuses dessen Rastnase
(e) in die dafür vorgesehene Kerbe am Sockel greift.
4) Der Alarmton lässt sich über die drei Kontakte (d) an
der Gehäuserückseite (siehe Abb. 2) einstellen:
a Kontakte 2 und 3 überbrückt (Grundeinstellung):
Sirenenton mit wechselnder Tonlage
b alle Kontakte offen:
konstanter Ton in einer Tonlage
c Kontakte 1 und 2 überbrückt:
pulsierende Tonfolge in einer Tonlage
5) Den Anschluss nach Abb. 2 durchführen, dabei un-
bedingt auf die richtige Polarität achten:
Die Klemmen für die Summer und die Klemmen
für die Blitzlampe mit den Anschlüssen an der Alarm-
zentrale verbinden, die für akustische bzw. optische
Alarmgeber vorgesehen sind. Um die rote LED unter
der Blitzlampe als Betriebsanzeige zu nutzen, die je-
weiligen Klemmen mit einem 12-V-Dauerspannungs-
ausgang der Alarmzentrale verbinden.
6) Das Gehäuse leicht gedreht so auf den Sockel set-
zen, dass sich die vier Halterungen am Sockel in den
vier Aussparungen (c) an der Gehäuserückseite be-
finden. Dann das Gehäuse kräftig im Uhrzeigersinn
drehen, bis es wieder einrastet (siehe Abb. 3).

3) Lead the cables coming from the alarm control panel
from the rear through the opening of the base, then
fasten the base to the wall with four screws via the
four inside or outside mounting holes. Install the base
in such a position that the nose (e) on the housing will
snap into the corresponding recess on the base
when mounting the housing later.
4) Adjust the alarm sound via the three contacts (d) on
the rear side of the housing (see fig. 2):
a contacts 2 and 3 bridged (basic adjustment):
siren sound at alternating pitch
b all contacts open:
continuous sound at the same pitch
c contacts 1 and 2 bridged:
pulsating sound sequence at the same pitch
5) Make the connection according to fig. 2. Always
observe the correct polarity:
Connect the terminals for the buzzers and the ter-
minals for the strobe lamp to the connections at the
alarm control panel provided for audible or visual
alarm devices. For using the red LED below the
strobe lamp as a power indication, connect the cor-
responding terminals to a 12 V constant voltage out-
put of the alarm control panel.
6) Place the housing on the base in a slightly turned
way, so that the four latching parts on the base will fit
into the four recesses (c) on the rear side of the hous-
ing. Then turn the housing clockwise in a powerful
movement until it locks again (see fig. 3).
