• Always keep the machine, wheels and
ventilation holes clean. Use a brush or
cloth for cleaning, but do not use any
cleaning agents or solvents.
• Check the machine, especially the
protective equipment, before each use
for damage such as loose, worn or da-
maged parts. Ensure that all nuts, bolts
and screws are firmly in place.
• Check the covers and protective devi-
ces for damage and correct fit. Replace
these if necessary.
• Store the machine in a dry place out
of reach of children. Do not enclose
the machine in nylon sacks as this may
cause moisture to form.
Turning or replacing
blades
Before any maintenance or clea-
ning work, turn the machine off,
pull out the mains plug and wait for
the blades to stop. There is a risk to
life and limb through electric shock,
fire and rotating blades.
1. Ensure that the power cable (5) is
disconnected from the mains supply.
2. Release the housing lock (9).
3. Tilt the front section of the shredder's
housing forwards. You can completely
remove it and place it aside to give
you free access to the blades (17).
To do so, loosen the housing lock (9)
and remove the front section of the
housing upwards vertically.
4. Block the blade plate (18) such as
with a screwdriver (not included in the
scope of delivery).
Guide the screwdriver through the ac-
cess hole (19) and carefully rotate the
blade plate (18) until you reach one
of the two blocking openings. You can
now guide the screwdriver through the
blade plate (18) to block it.
5. You can use the Allen key (8) to loosen
the two screws (20) and remove the
blade (17).
The blades have two cutting edges,
which can be turned around.
Always replace and turn the blades
in pairs. Do not attempt to sharpen
the blades!
Spare parts are available from
our online shop (see "Spare parts/
Accessories").
6. When mounting the blade, please
be sure to use only new screws
and fasten them with 16 Nm of torque
using a torque wrench.
The machine features a
safety switch. The housing
lock has to be tightened again
by hand as otherwise the
machine will not be able to
be started later.

fore you store the machine in an enclo-
