Diese Anleitung ist vor der Inbetriebnahme des Gerätes genau
durchzulesen. Bei Schäden die durch Nichtbeachtung der
Installationsanleitung verursacht werden, erlischt der
Gewährleistungsanspruch. Für Folgeschäden, die daraus
resultieren, wird keine Haftung übernommen.
Allgemein / Anwendung
Der kompakte Drucker wird als Endlospapierdrucker / parallele
Registriereinrichtung an einer Brandmelderzentrale FlexES Control
(BMZ) eingesetzt. Das Gerät kann als Tischdrucker verwendet
oder mit beiliegender Halterung an der Wand in unmittelbarer
Nähe der BMZ montiert werden.
Der Anschluss erfolgt über die vorkonfektionierten, beiliegenden
Kabel wahlweise an der RS422 / RS485- ODER der TTY-
Schnittstelle der BMZ. Den Drucker in der Service- und
Programmiersoftware tools 8000 ab Version V1.20 als Typ
„MEFA" auswählen.

Drucker einschalten, die blinkende grüne LED zeigt an, dass
kein Druckerpapier eingelegt ist

Druckerpapier ca. 5 cm durch den Schlitz nach Außen führen
und einen Testdruck durch einmaliges Drücken der ONLINE

Beschädigung möglich
Arbeiten an der Brandmelderzentrale sind nur im
spannungsfreien Zustand zulässig (Netz- und
Notstromversorgung).
Staub, Feuchtigkeit und übermäßige Hitze, starke
elektrische bzw. magnetische Felder, Elektrostatik,
direkte Sonneneinstrahlung sowie mechanische
Belastungen können den Betrieb des Druckers
beeinträchtigen.

General / Application
This compact printer is used as a continuous printer/parallel
event recorder for a FlexES Control fire alarm control panel
(FACP). The device can be used as a desktop printer or mounted
on a wall directly next to the FACP using the enclosed bracket.
The enclosed ready-to-use cable is used to connect the printer to
either the RS422/RS485 interface OR the TTY interface of the
FACP. In the service and programming software tools 8000, from
version V1.20, select 'MEFA' as the printer type.

Installation / Commissioning

Disconnect the FACP
(mains and emergency power supply)

Mount the printer with the supplied fixing material as a
desktop or wall-mounted device (Fig. 1)

Connect printer only with the supplied cables to the required
interface of the FACP (Fig. 2)

The printer can be connected to a power supply using the
plug-in power supply unit provided

Switch the printer on – the flashing green LED shows that no
printer paper has been inserted

Insert printer paper as shown in Fig. 5

The flashing green light goes off

Guide approx. 5 cm of the printer paper through the slit and
run a test print by pressing the ONLINE button once

Risk of damage
Work may be carried out on the fire alarm control panel
only when it is disconnected from the power supply (mains
and emergency power supply).
Dust, moisture, excessive heat, strong electrical/magnetic
fields, static electricity, direct sunlight and mechanical
