1. Technical description

The harness FIREBIRD VIPER was developed after the latest ergonomic
realizations and from the research on accidents. Only this protector is permitted for
use with the VIPER (developed particularly for this harness); only the connection
VIPER with this protector gives maximum security!
The improvements of the shoulder belt as well as a shortened suspension improved
the controllability by flying with weight shift.
The most important characteristics are:
• harness is designed like a bucket seat
• neoprene side covering (cooling resistant)
• side chest strap runs through carbine; this, combined with the DAS (=
DiagonalActiveSystem) results in a much more solid behavior of the whole
harness
• side chest-straps adjustable with flat latches
• free-sliding shoulder straps allow adjustment of the pilot angle quickly for in
flight efficiency;
• adjustment with flat latches of the free-sliding shoulder straps is situated
beside the seat board
• large side pocket with zipper (left and right side)
• ergonomic stitched foam layers on back (1,5 cm foam)
• Safe-T-System - the pilot can't fall out of the harness, even with
unintentionally opened leg straps
• Attachment points for towing release or cockpit
• Integrated 4-leaf rescue container situated under the seat board
• Special foam protector (16 cm thick) only meant for this harness – only this
protector combined with the rescue container ?affords? maximum safety- the
harness VIPER is only available with this protector!
